I bought an FMD watch recently and the back sais
BASE METAL BEZEL, ZRT15530S10, 99, BATTERY 377, JAPAN MOVT, FMD, STAINLESS STEEL BACK. And the "day of the week" dial won't move at all, same with the seconds and the day of month, only the regular time hands move. its not digital and only has one knob to reset the time. Please help me!

probably not as much as you think it is worth. There are to many varibles to consider value. An item is only worth what another person is willing to give you for it. If you truly want its value, go have it appraised. That will cost you to get a qualified appraisal.
mcdevito75 here, Elgin a great name in watches, usually the back of the watch is base metal while the bezel or fron of the watch is plated, almost any jeweler can give an approx. value to your watch, of couse it"s age and condition count for alot.
It is real. Manufacture in China is cheap and many of brand names are manufactured there.
Japanese movt is right and real as well as these are mass produced for many different brand names.
