Problem started with the HDMI ports (both input 1 & 2) where I'd get the "no program or weak signal message" -- but component seemed to work. Tried playing a DVD, and suddenly picture stopped and was replace by white vertical lines spreading across the screen.
Tried the standard reset for the TV and got component input to work, and shut off the TV, went to turn the TV on a couple of hours later and again nothing. Reset process doesn't seem to work now either and access to menus.
TV is 1 year and 15 days old. Any help before I spend money on a new TV or a costly repair would be appreciated.
JVC may allow warranty exception or some accomodation for 15 days out. You have 2 seperate issues
1. White lines spreading is probably a video process problem. I think this TV has 3 Boards inside. Middle one is most likely suspect followed by the one on the Right
2. HDMI input not working is because they were turned OFF. JVC TV's have a sensor that will shut off the HDMI if the TV's back cover is removed. This must be reset in the Service Menu.
