Hows the freezer?? is only the refrig warm and freezer still frezzing?? if so id open the freezer door and listen for a fan motor, it should be spinning to circulate air to the top sect(refrig). if not on sounds like a bad fan.. if the fan is on but the rear panle is completly iced over, sounds like a defrost issue

Hi, my refrigerator Panasonic NR-B320T non stop running, both vegetable and freezer sections are GETTING FREEZED even though the temperature are set at 1 (cold not at 3, the coldest).

check your user hand book as most fridge settings work the lower the number the colder the setting
so 1 is around 1-3 degrees , 3 is 4-6 degrees, 4 is 7-10 degrees
it is the freezer that works 1 is minus 5 and 5 is minus 20 degrees
it would explain why everything is freezing up
it would also explain the non stop running as the fridge is battling to keep the low setting

I have a Kenmore/Frigidaire side-by-side that shut itself off while I was gone for a few days. When I returned the frozen food and ice had melted and food in the refrigerator was at about 50 degrees. I...

you say its operational again, does that include the cooling as well, or is it running and not cold. if its running and cold, and it was not running when it was previously discovered warm, then your problem is likely with the cold temperature control that you adjusted to get it going. When you first adjusted both controls to the coldest setting, did the unit kick on then or shortly thereafter? then absolutely that is your problem.

Refrigerator and freezer not staying cold enough, but running

Good day,
First, on some versions of your machine, there is a fan on the bottom rear, make sure if it has one, that it is running.
If it were a defrost component, as you suggested, then you would see a build up of frost and ice on the rear panel in the freezer compartment.
If so, you would need to defrost it. There are 3 components to a defrost system. The 2 you described, behind that rear panel, and a timer in the fresh food compartment, in the upper housing.
Below is a tutorial on defrost systems. You need a ohm meter to test the components.
If none of the above apply, then it is in the sealed system (compressor, leaks in the tubing or restriction in the lines) and would require a trained tech to sort it out.

I have a Kenmore bottom freezer fridge. Can't find the manual. Is 7 the coldest setting or 1? We keep the fridge in our garage and with the artic temps we are having we need to adjust it.

most refr's dont so well when the ambiant temps fall below 50 degrees. you should not need to adjust the controls must past the "midpoint" usually 4. but 7 is the coldest setting.
the best thing you can do is check what the actual temps are in your garage and if you can warm it up to above 50, then the unit should run properly again.
if the ambiant temps are too cold, the freezer wont be cold enough and the refr section will freeze things.

Not cold enough

Should be a thermostat with a black knob in the freezer. Usually they are marked 1-7 1 being the warmest and 7 the coldest. Usually clock wise + colder. Adjust by only 1 number per day. See how it responded the nest day. The set point is designated by a notch or arrow on the cover plate. ;)

HI, simply replacing the thermostat and air diffuser assembly will fix this cold control issue you are experiencing.

Running High @ -10 C and should run at -20 C on coldest setting

1. Make sure the sealing gasket is making good contact all the way around. It's pretty easy to lose 10 degrees. If it is a magnetic seal on the door gasket, it may not be sealing all the way around.

2. If it is staying that cold, everything is working well enough. Maybe you need a little gas in the compressor. Time for the service guy.

By the way, is your unit speced to be that cold full of supplies? Is the door opened frequently? minus 35 is pretty cold.

Freezer compartment of refrigerator not freezing

First, I think it’s important to know that the Ref side has no cooling coils, it’s basically a box and the cold air in the freezer is blown over by a fan through a channel into the Ref side. This channel has a door which regulates how much cold air goes through. You probably have two control knobs in the Ref side, one controls the temp with numbers 1-9, 9 being the coldest. This temp control tells the compressor how long to run. The other control is for that little door and it may have letters A-E, E being the coldest. If you set it on E (coldest) then this will close that little door and keep most the cold air in the freezer.
So, how can the Ref side be cold and the freezer side not freezing?

1. Coolant leak. There is enough coolant to keep the Ref side cool but not enough to freeze on the freezer side.

2. Defrost system failure. The coils on the freezer side are clogged with ice and it's just a matter of time when the Ref side won't cool either. The back wall in the freezer will be covered with ice/frost
