Hi, Previously when I used the variable speed on my Kenwood Chef mixer on variable speed setting it would randomly pulse fast and slow and sometimes accellerate up to full speed for no reason. This started happening more frequently until now if just has one speed no matter what setting the knob is on. If I move the knob left to right quickly from 1 to Max the motor goes into like a stall, moving very slowly and has an electric motor humming sound. I have replaced the speed controller with a new one with no success. I am guessing motor but this machine has hardly been used and is in extremely good condition and would be a waste simply replacing it. - Has someone got any advice? - A service manual? - A pinout to the 6 motor wires? - Have any idea on what the two thin white wires are for or what they connected to? Thanks
Hi I am also looking for a service manual for KM001.
Please BGR1 can you email me this manual if possible. I am having the same intermittent start problem as this person who asked the question to you.
My email address is [email protected]
SOURCE: Kenwood Chef KM001 - sounds like the gearbox (?)
Go to http://www.kenwoodworld.com/uk/Customer-Service/Instruction-Books/ and click on "select category" and insert your model number

It sounds like the attachments aren't aligning correctly. I had the same problem with a Kitchen Aid. The unit should be replaced as soon as possible so you don't end up paying for repairs.
