My Amana Gas Fired Air Furnace (80) failed to come on with warm air. Blower works but cold air only? Is there an obvious problem here?

Motor might be bad and shutting down on thermal protection. Is this a direct drive or belt driven ? .if belt driven try adjusting the belt tension or just replaced the motor

it should be above the burner on the outside of the heat exchanger square is shape

just check out the flame sensor it may need cleaning and check air filter is clean .

Possibly it had the 70 on it and someone bumped it up already. I'm uncertain, I'm a straight cool/ minimal heat pump tech in SWFL. I am certain 10 degrees isn't hurting anything, replace with what is in there.

bad gas valve or control board

In the path of the flame on the last burner that starts, there will be a small rod. That rod is the flame sensor. Take a scrub pad and polish it. Also check the electrical connection that goes back to the circuit board. Disconnect any ground wire from the circuit board to furnace cabinet, sand it and replace it.

Hi check out the pressure switch jump it out and see if it lights also check the igntion coil is glowing

sounds like you might have a bad control board. try putting a jumper wire on the control board low voltage terminals R and G your fan should come on and run if you have 120v power to fan motor. double check that you do have 120 leaving board and going to motor. if no 120 bad board if you do have 120 bad motor. if it is the board it likely has a bad blower relay which is common in amana models and goodman equipment.

Buy a new ignitor here; The Ignitor Store. Or talk an Amana dealer/Contractor to sell you one. They can range from 15 to 35 bucks! Depending on their mark-up. Give them your model number, and or ignitor part number. Their simple to change out, good luck, please contact if you have any questions.
