Motorola T6310 Talkabout Sound only comes out of earphones

When I power on the device I get a beep out of the speaker but there is no sound when I receive a transmission or when the FM Radio is on. However when I put in the headphones I can hear the radio and when I use the headset I can hear the transmission. I would like to use this radio without any headset or headphones like I did when I purchased them. (The other radio is working just fine.)

I checked the VOX settings and they are turned off.
My gut tells me that the mic/headphone jack has a short or is bent in some fashion. Is there a repair shop I can send it to that will be able to assist in this? I hate to thow it out when it can be fixed by someone willing to.

We have discussed your dilemma. Check your audio jack hole to be certain nothing is still in the hole. Check to see you have the VOX setting turned to a normal or off setting. Typically the radio will shut off the front speaker when an audio device is plugged into the jack. If the radio senses the device, or a small piece of the plug is stuck in the jack, or the jack is damaged, it will shut off the front speaker.

Since you can hear when using the headphone, it is apparent you have the radios programmed to the same frequency and code settings. This leads us to believe it is not a programming issue, short of the VOX feature, or mic gain. You might double check these settings.

MacBook Pro mid 2011 AUX input dose not work with my headphones.. please help me.. :(

Its very rare a mac has sound problems. Some earphones consume batteries, does yours have batteries in it? and is it powered on while connecting? With the earphones connected, check system volume and increase the sound while playing music. If there is sound coming from the mac itself then there maybe an issue with the AUX connection. Possible dust blocking the port. Clean it and try again. If there is no sound coming from the mac itself while the earphones are connected, then the AUX port is connected to the earphones and is in good working condition. Increase the volume on both devices, the mac and the earphones, if it has this feature. If there is still no sound, there may be a problem with the earphones itself. Possibly bad wires already, connect the earphones to other devices and listen for sound. If still no sound, replace earphones.

We have two Motorola t6310 two radios with the FM radio feature. When we turn the FM radio on, we get nothing. No static sound comes out. What could we be doing wrong? Thanks!

Here is a link to the user guide for the T6300 series. http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage-new/manuals/Moto/T6300_User_Manual_E.pdf

The instructions for tuning the FM radio feature are on pages 22-23. You can have the radio scan for available stations, or you can do a manual search .01khz at a time. Once you have found a station, you can save the location.

Best regards.

No sound for earphone, there are no rca jacks, the earphone is used to attach speakers, but there is no sound from the earphone jack

if their is a sound from the internal speaker then the problem is with in only in the earphone jack or in the connection. to access the internal part of the tv you need to remove the rear cover. locate the earphone jack terminal re soldered and check the connection at the board ( PCB). you can check also the continuity, attached powered pc speaker then use an analog tester and check weather their is a connection coming from the stereo input jack going to the terminal of the earphone jack of the tv. if no connection replace with new earphone jack. good luck hope this can helped.

Have you tried receiving with a EARPHONE? The speakers in these units are VERY poor and do fail easily.

IF the earphone works(!) try a external SPEAKER/MIKE instead of trying to find and install a replacement speaker!

Sends transmission okay but, even with volume set high it receives faintly.

You have one of three problems:

1) You are using the radio with another model of radio which is set to wideband channel spacing. (The TalkAbout is narrowband.)

2) You have a radio with a problem. (bad speaker, or plugged speaker grill possibly, or an internal issue)

3) The transmitting radio has a problem, or has debris or something covering the mic hole.

The only way to narrow down the problem is to have a third known good radio in the mix. This will let you know which radio is problematic. The TalkAbout models are for the most part non-repairable (other than the TalkAbout Distance models and the T7200 and T7400.)

Motorola T5622 VOX Not Activating with Autocom Sys I have an Autocom (Kit 300) motorbike coms system. I bought the accessory cord that interfaces to the Motorola T5622, for VOX I have followed the Motorola...

Hi Folks, two seperate checks to do - to check vox on autocom and transmit on motorola. With the T5622 unconnected to anything, does the push transmit button work - e.g. does it make the beep noise at the end of transmission?

Does your autocom work with any other sound sources - i.e. mp3 player so you can hear music. Does this mute when you speak ? (it should if vox is working). Note that in this setup vox is provided by autocom - NOT BY THE T5622. The instructions you mention are for the motorola vox kit.

Wire the two together and you should get the motorola beeping through your autocom at the end of transmit - that's what my kit 200 does with my T5622.
