Washer will not complete cycle and displays an "Ld" error code. Try to restart it and will not go through. Takes a whole day to do one load of clothes.
Remove clothes from drum. Siphon out (or wet vac out) visible water in the drum. Blow into drain hose. This back flushes the system. After hearing gurgling and seeing bubbles come up thru the drum, you know its a fairly clear line. Now take your wet vac and siphon out remaining water by connecting it to the drain line using duct tape. The lights will correct themselves and your washer will now work normally. At least this is how I fixed mine without disconnecting anything or making a big mess. Good luck.

Ld code means long drain, which can be caused debris being stuck in the drain port generally in the tub to drain pump hose. It can also be a bad drain pump all together. It is not hard to change or check for debris and is easily accessible from bottom of unit however you will need a shopvac and towel due to the fact the unit does hold about 3 gallon of water down below the agitator you cant seefrom the top... slowly undo the tub to pump hose and siphon water out with shopvac until all water is drain then remove pump and inspect for debris. most times a coin or small sock or thong will clog it up. PS where some clothes you don't care if they get wet or dirty.....

SOURCE: My maytag clothes washer Bravo quiet series 300,
What does the Sd code mean? This code indicates that excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the wash action and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This process is necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds. Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Use only HE High Efficiency detergent for BravosTM washers.
Is "Sd" displayed and the wash cycle dial is flashing? This indicates the washer was not able to clear all the excess suds from the washer. Re-select your desired cycle using cold water. Press Start/Pause. Do not add detergent. Is "Sd" displayed and the wash cycle dial is not flashing? If "Sd" is displayed and the wash cycle dial is not flashing, allow the machine to continue running, even if it appears that nothing is happening. When "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the wash action will pause to allow the bubbles in the suds to break, and the washer will add water for better rinsing. This rinsing process is necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds. Is the drain hose kinked or clogged? Make sure that the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Straighten the hose for adequate water flow. Remove any blockage from the drain hose, drainpipe or utility sink. Use the U-shaped drain hose form on the drain hose, and secure the drain hose. To remove the error display, press Power/Cancel or Pause/Cancel once.
If Power/Cancel or Pause/Cancel does not work: NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other questions above have been checked, call for service.

I had the exact same problem. nd code (no-drain) at the end of the cycle and when I opened the door the machine was still full of water. I took the back panel off the washer and disconnected the drain hose from the pump. (You're going to get quite a bit of water gushing out at you so be prepared with towels or a shop vac.) At this point you should see a little rubber disc over the end of the section you just exposed on the pump. This is a little drain flap. Just lift it up and you should be able to see into the pump a little bit. At this point I poked around in there with my finger and found a hair pin stuck in the pump! I wasn't able to get it out from this end of the pump so I disconnected the big rubber boot which connects the wash drum to the pump. Then I was able to twist the pump (counter clock-wise) and release it from the washer base. I didn't have to disconnect any wires and was then able to see into the other side of the pump and pull the hairpin out. Put everything back together and it's worked fine ever since. I've never even looked inside a washing machine before but it really was really fairly simple. Now my husband really does think I'm a domestic Goddess. I said he should take me out to dinner with the money we saved on a service call!!

This isnt really a solution because Im having the same problem. The repair man that came said that is buildup of soap in the water line. I use my own powder soap, not h/e, and its not desolving and getting built up in the lines. Im not sure what to do to get it to stop doing this. He suggested cutting back on the amount of soap and running hot water through the lines which I have done for the last couple of days but I still have this problem.
SOURCE: Ld error on Maytag Bravo. How to remove items stuck under tub?
if you can see the socks you may be able to remove by making a wire hook with an old coat hanger or something similar if you are able to undo the hose coming out of your bowl to the water pump you may be able to also fish out the coins if you are lucky but the best way is to dismantle bowl let me know how you went
The SD error code is caused by using the wrong detergent or excessive amounts of detergent.
To correct the issue: Make sure to use HE detergent. Note: Using Non - HE Detergent will cause oversudsing and can damage the washer. Do not use too much detergent.
Note: If using HE 2x - 5x concentrate detergent, reduce the amount being used. The washer will try to run a mini-clean out cycle using cold water and a 5 minute pause to clear the suds. If this cycle does not clear the display and complete the cycle the clothing may need to be rinsed by hand and then rewashed without detergent.
Hello &
Welcome to FixYa
LD error code
means long drain, you can try to check the drain hose and clean it completely.
Also take out the agitator and check any stuck clothes there. After this if the
problem is back then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back
to me if you have any other questions.
