Wont start unless u jump starter solnoid . then blades wont engage when commanded by switch seat safety switch already bypassed.
SOURCE: cub cadet 2135 wont start
check for a fuse behind the ignition
it might be blown
then i would check the starter solenoid
if you put a screwdriver accross the bolts that hold the wire from the starter and ignition switch and it tries to start there's ur problem.
Testimonial: "So after borrowing the neighbor's tractor for a month, I finally checked the fuse and YOU WERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!! Blown fuse! You're BRILLIANT! Tnx!"

Hi,
I would be looking at the ignition switch....but before replacing it I would be looking for a friend with an electrical meter and checking the wiring for power coming out of the switch to the cluthch, this way you can narrow it down positively before buying parts.

SOURCE: My PTO will not engage
Check the operator presence switch located under the drivers seat. If that isn't mounted properly it will not activate like it should and will cause the mower to die when you try to engage the PTO or release the brake with it in gear.
SOURCE: Cadet LT 1045; PTO not
The electric PTO clutch on a Cub Cadet L1045 allows the mower blades to engage. The electric clutch is located directly under the engine and is bolted onto the crankshaft. When the PTO switch is placed in the on position, an electrical current is sent to the PTO clutch; engaging a brake which then allows the blades to turn. When the PTO switch is in the on position and the blades will not turn, the electric PTO clutch may need replacing. Check the 2 wire conection under the frame near the pto clutch, motor off of course. Make them tight.
-------
First start by turning ign on,then switch on the pto switch to on. you should hear a click in the clutch. If not use a twelve volt test light, hook aligator end to a good ground and the needle end, touch to the pto switch harness to see if you have power to the pto switch. If you don"t, you have to go checkfurther to your power source,(battery) if you do have power there check to see if you have power at the plugin at the end of your wire harness, just at the beginning of where your cluch connects up. You can test you clutch by conneting a test wire from positive on your battery to one of the terminals on your clutch and the other terminal to ground . It will engage if it is good .--------- But if not then by pass the pto and see if the clutch gets engaged. If it gets then replace the pto switch, but if its not engaging by bypassing the PTO switch then problem is with clutch, it has to be replaced.

This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
Hi,
The safety switch beneath the seat is only one part of the several interconnecting safety features of the modern riding mower. If the system works properly, you must be seated for the mower deck to operate. The tractor will continue running with the Power Take Off disengaged if the parking brake is set before the operator leaves the seat. The seat switch consists of two electrical contacts normally separated by an air gap. A spring creates an open space between the two contacts. Mounted between two plates, the switch's spring compresses under the weight of the person sitting in the operator seat and completes an electrical circuit. With the switch closed the tractor's ignition system can be switched on with the ignition key. If the operator stands, the spring forces the gap open and interrupts the electrical ignition circuit. The safety circuit allows the riding mower motor to continue running if the PTO is not engaged. When the parking brake is set a second switch in electrical parallel with the OPS closes. This bypasses the safety switch under the seat. If the operator stands, the parking brake switch still completes the ignition circuit. The mower blade turns only when the PTO engages. If the operator should leave the seat with the blade turning and under power, injuries could result. The mower blade would even continue spinning at full power if the machine overturned. To prevent this type of accident, engaging the PTO deactivates a connection in the original circuit and completes a second circuit in series with the OPS switch.
If the operator leaves the seat with the PTO engaged, the ignition interrupts and the machine stops. Until the PTO is off, no combination of settings will restart the mower.
