The oven will start to preheat and after its done a locked door light flashes and the oven shuts down. It will not come back on after that until it cools. The locked door light keeps flashing. We do not know what this means as we have no lock on the door nor is it a self cleaning oven. Please help!!
WE start the oven it works , but it shuts off on it's own and I have to wait until it cools down before I can start it up againWE start the oven it works , but it shuts off on it's own and I have to wait until it cools down before I can start it up again

My mother-in-law's oven was doing the same thing. At first it was actually turning completely off which led me to think it was a loose connection on the circuit board. That turned out to be exactly what it was. I had to dismantle the front of the oven, remove the circuit board, and resolder the connections. The first time I did this I must have missed a few bad joints and that's when it started doing what you described (shuting off and showing lock door). I pulled it back apart and found a few more bad solder joints which I fixed; so far so good. This is of course one of those "don't try this at home" fixes but it least lets you know what is causing the problem.

"PF" stands for Power Failure. There should be a reset procedure in your user's manual. I cannot specify this since you don't give the manufacturer or model number of your oven.
Over-temp condition due to either oven temperature sensor or ERC (electronic range control).
Testing should be done by a qualified tech to prevent risks to user.
If this is the design that the oven will click to light they generally will preheat but shut down once they go to standard bake. The oven will try three times to relight but then shuts down and will not try to light again until you reset the oven. If this is the case the oven burner itself is usually the problem. the burner comes with the electrode.
The oven self clean heats the oven in excess of 450 degrees. It will not begin until the door is properly closed and the slide lock goes completely home. This is to prevent anyone being able to get into the oven until after the cleaning cycle is done. When your "door lock" indicator blinks and beeps, try the door to see if it is really locked. If not, shut off the system and try to find out why it is not locking properly. If you find the reason and fix it, it will probably work properly.
I don't have a solution, but I was wondering if it constantly beeps until you press the start button? I am having the same problem with my oven preheating. Until we can figure out how to stop this we unplug it and shut the gas off when not in use.
For some reason the oven thinks you have a door that is not shut all of the way. Check the locking slot to make sure that there are no obstructions. Make sure that you are only doing one oven at a time, and not trying to cook in the other. Make sure you have no racks in the oven. Try pushing lightly on the door when the lock engages. For some reason your lock isn't engaging fully and that's why door is flashing. Good Luck
Below is from the owners manual for your oven.
Oven does not self-clean Door not shut tight Check for obstructions. Close door tightly
Oven set for delay timed cleaning Oven will start to self-clean at preset time.
Press CANCEL/SECURE to return to
normal operation
Double ovens only: Other oven is on. Turn off other oven.
That's awesome! I just found this site on Christmas day minutes away from family arriving and I had exhausted the manual for help. Under the troubleshooting section of the manual it lists "door Locked" light blinking as a problem with the only solution being - "shut the door." With three dishes in the oven that didn't help!
I took the advice of the site and wiggled the actual door lock on the inside of the oven and that didn't work right away either.
I had to trick the oven into thinking the door was shut by pressing the sensor on the right hand side in and then turn on the oven cleaning cycle with the sensor held down. After the lock activated and moved across with the door open, I had to hold down the door unlock feature and wiggle the lock as it unlocked. A little more complicated, but none the less it worked!
It must be a sensor inside the locking mechanism that isn't reading the lock being open - or something...
