I have a 37" LG lcd flatscreen thats about 2 years old. When the tv is turned on there is a delay in signal transmission from the cable box. When the signal is received (about 3 minutes later) it is followed by a really loud static sound (about 20 seconds) the delay seems to be getting longer and the only way to avoid it is to leave the tv on all the time only turning off the cable box. Comcast replaced the box and Ive even changed the composite cables to hdmi. Please help.
Thanks, Paul
It is not that rare to have a few secound delay but it sounds like yours has some componates that have gotten alittle hot at times and now take longer to come up if you haven't put a surge protector on it I would do so . To day with all the brownouts and power spike the newer units can not handle this couse of the componate being a lot smaller and as we put more and more ecectronic in our homes we create are own power drops the only way to help this in most homes is to use surge protectors.
