My lid is fine but the crock itself is broken. I love this crock pot until I came home yesterday and it was cracked and the liquid had run all over the counter top. Where can I get a replacement?
If the crack is thin and at the base you can immerse it in simmering milk for about twenty minutes and then let it dry before wiping it off with a warm damp towel. Repeat if necessary. I used a casserole pan with four of those decorative glass beads used in fish tanks and planters.

I have another pot with a lid and the lid 'fits' my crockpot; my glass crock pot just broke and my heart broke along with it! The cooking pot's lid worked for the soup I made last week but you can't see into the pot; I like that about the crock pot. Try another lid, or you can try to buy a new/different one, like I'm trying to do! :)
I just found a glass lid from a 9" or 10" pot and use it, but it doesn't have the height that the plastic one has so it tends to spill a little bit if I'm not careful.
I had this same broken lid handle problem so I called the 800 number on the crock-pot.com website and got right through to a live person. Since my product is still under warranty (they asked for the manufacturing date code on the plug), instead of providing me a replacement part, which the very nice woman said is unavailable, they are sending me a whole new crock-pot. Not the same model (which the nice woman also said is unavailable) but a comparable unit which is OK with me. Maybe this is their solution to the lid hinge and handle problems.
We have a Elite 8 qt. crock pot minus the lid. Maybe between the two of us we can get a working crock pot. We would love to find a lid to fit it, but if not, will be willing to help with the liner.
Call Hamilton Beach. This crock pot was recalled because of threat of severe burn. My handle broke and I dropped my lid. When I called to buy a new lid, I was told of the recall. They will send you an envelope. You then send back the end of the cord. I got a whole new cooker, crock and lid in the mail. : )
