After replacing a control board the oven stopped working after two weeks, we put another new control board, the oven worked for four hours then went black again. After shutting the power off and reprogramming again it wouldn't start and an error code E6 F2 comes up and the control panel goes dark. Please advise.

SOURCE: received E6 and F2 code. repair man replaced the

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F2-E6 error code indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the temp.sensor needs replacement. If you want to be sure then before replacing the sensor you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then 1120 ohms then it needs replacement however, if the reading is between 1080-1120 ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. However, after reading your problem it seems that the sensor is causing this and replacing it is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

An E6 F2 error code on these parts has always been due to the control board. These controllers can be repaired quickly and reliably at www.fixyourboard.com If buttons are not working or you get an F2-E0 or F2-E1 then it is the keypad

Hi. How can I fix error F6E6?

We bought this oven too for our newly renovated home, we used it for six days before it failed due to an electronic error (F6E6: Appliance Manager 1 Board Communication). After a failed warranty repair attempt and multiple phone calls/complaints we eventually got Whirlpool to agree to give us a new oven. We had to wait six MONTHS for this new oven to arrive due to it being out of manufacture. Our second oven arrived and worked for 8 weeks until this weekend, it failed again with an F6E6 error! Now to try and get it repaired replaced!

There is obviously something wrong with the electronic design or poor-quality components are being used. We strongly recommend you do not buy this oven.

We bought a matching combi oven from the same range which means we have to stick with this oven or we will end up with ovens that don't match in a brand new kitchen!

Frigidaire oven

Yes, that sounds like a relay on the oven control board. Here is the part to order that has a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy so you may want to order from them.

Had similar issues with my GE oven. (same Model) Removed the oven control module and sent it to FixYourBoard.com. For $160 they repaired the board in about 1 week. Received it (my same board) and put it back in. The oven works great! Recommended. (No, don't work for that company, just a happy customer)

Have an error code E2 F6 The screen went dark, but the oven still worked. I turned the breaker off and will wait for the hour. let me know

F2 - E6 Cancel key drive line open 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Control panel on my Maytag MEW6530DDS not working / how do I open the panel and replace it?

there are screws that hold the frame that holds the panel in place. they are usually 3 at the top of the oven. after removing them you take that piece off and you then take out the other screws that show themselves. it is kind of like a puzzle. one suggestion is to make a crude.drawing on cardboard of the oven and stick the screws thru the cardboard and then you will know where they go when you put it back together. learned that trick the hard way. and make a drawing of the back of the oven control board and make a diagram of it that shows where each wire goes so you will not get them mixed up when you put the new one in. we had to order the wiring harness that goes from the control board to the oven thermostat. it was back ordered for 3 months. if i had not made that diagram i would have been lost when i went to put it back together. went online and found an oven control board for $120 installed it and the oven has worked ever since. this oven has a bad setup that channels the heat right by the oven board and it ruins the control board.

Sf195lehz5 free standing gas oven,

Check both gas valve solonoids for 216 ohms [blue broiler wire to the orange common and red oven wire to orange common] both must be ok.

Check oven temp sensor for 1080 ohms.

If above are ok then the problem is either the spark module or the control board.

Since the gas valve was not opening and there was not ignitor sound I replaced the spark module for about $90. You have a 50-50 chance of being right.

My range is relitively new and I'm haveing an oven light problem which I traced to the control board so I may replaced this board to for about $200.
