HOTPOINT washerdryer WD420 The door dose not open after wash and there r no flashing light.Can any1 help plz with thx.

My WD 420 packed up, after watching the blogs I did:1) remove filter - found 2 quid, a thong, a pop sock, a christmas cracker toy and a load of gunge. 2) removed the motor - brushes worn to nothing - replaced them.
Washer running as new. 6 years old, 2 house moves - not bad reliability. Nearly gave up and bought a new machine!!

It happened on our machine. The soloution to this for me was to take the lid off (two screws). Unplugged from mains. I found the connector to the door had vibrated off and was just hanging loose. Plugged it back in and it worked straight away.Door opens as normal.
Don't forget to look in the manual for how to get the door open in an emergency

If the door will not open normally, then the only solution is to remove the top cover, and force the door open from inside the washer at the front

possible blockage ' filter or could aslo be water coming back from the sink if drain hose too low , you may need to raise this....

Unplug at the mains, remove lid and door catch can be released from inside the machine.

Perhaps you are putting to much in it, poor machine, give it a break in its old age! All the Best -the Yeti PS leave room for the water!

Press the start cancel button for at least 2 seconds, switch off, leave for 2 mins,switch on again holding the botton for 2 secs, then press start cancel buuton again for at least 2 seconds, hope fully ,this should do ths trick.

you have a blocked pipe - where the water is draining out. Either that or your filter is blocked.

best you open the back and take a look at the filter before calling out hotpoint - might save you 100 pound call out charge.
