The control buttons were locked one day with the light next to the Lock button on Steady. Pushing any of the control buttons caused an L to appear on the screen. I researched online. I held down the heated dry button for about 5 seconds. The green light flashed several times then went out. An error code of 81 came on briefly. None of the control buttons would work. I researched a little more. I pressed the start cancel button. 2H appeared on the screen and the unit started to fill. I pressed the delay 1-9 button, no change. I pressed the start/cancel button again. The H disappeared leaving 2 on the screen, and it started to drain. Still can't get any of the control buttons to work. Any advice? Any idea how much it would cost to possibly fix it? Would it be better to buy a new one?

donnson, sounds more like the touch panel shorted or stuck keypads. You can remove the touch panel ribbon from the control board and try to clean it with an eraser. You will need to remove the torx screws and remove the inside panel. See if it comes back to life. Behind the toe-panel on the bottom, there should be a tech sheet showing how to check the key pad. The key pad and control board are warranteed for 5 years on this model, parts only. Catriver..post back.

Try pressing heated wash, heated dry, then heated wash, heated dry. It should reset it. Also try pressing and holding the cancel button for 5 seconds to see if that works if the other doesnt.

The dishwasher lights are all blinking, it starts randomly, like one in every 50 times you press the buttons. I have unplugged it to reset several times. Nothing is working. I'm looking for a solution to blinking lights and it not starting. is there any other way to reset the controls????

in such cases it is always the control panel(touch panel) that needs to be replaced.it is very simple 2 chg and u could save lot of money.to chge cntrl panel ,open the door and remove all the screws around the white plastic part of door.then pull apart the inner part from outside part.the cntrol panel is held to outer panel with 4 screws.b4 that remove 2 screws holding the control board to panel.do not forget 2 unplug the unit from power b4 doing anything.
