Scrolling endlessly through channels

When I turn the tv on, it acts like the Video Input button is being pushed (scrolls through video 1/2/3 and dvd), but bounces back to video 1 often. The channel indicator is just constantly scrolling up through the channels endlessly then loops back to 2 and keeps counting again, like its stuck on channel up. I pulled batteries out of the remotes to be sure it wasn't a stuck button and tried unplugging tv to see if that would clear it. Could you please tell me if its an easy enough fix or time for a new tv?

SOURCE: Sony KV-27FS100L -

This is due to switches malfuction due to corrosion in switch and dust accumulated in the switch. Since you rarely used switch now after failure of remote of remote control you tried to operate the switch. Another thing you said did"t get picture, maybe memory problem is there. This can be sorted out by the technician only.

SOURCE: remote control not responding

Perhaps you can try what I do when my KV24FV300 runs through channels and will not stop.  Hard to watch and remote will not work.  Nothing works but on and off from set.

Sony Says:  Take all batteries out of ALL remotes that you use in any way for that set, VCR, etc.  ALL batteries out.  Turn TV off at set.  Unplug TV.  Wait at least 15 minutes then replace all batteries in ALL remotes.  Plug TV back in and turn TV on from set.

Maybe, just maybe it will work.  If it does not work why not call Sony, they always say that cannot happen but they have a solution for it.

SOURCE: No Signal through on my main TV input.

This may be the tuner or IF module that is failing. It may also be a voltage supply fault to these modules. It is impossible to accurately speculate without actualy troubleshooting the set.

MY TV JUST KEEP COMMING ON THE DVD PLAYER WILL NOY DISENGAGE

Not sure what you mean. The TV comes on and is always showing the DVD instead of TV channels? If that is the case, you need to change the TV input from what the DVD player is using. (for example component or Video 1, or HDMI 1 to whatever the TV is using for television provider's input. (for example HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 or component, or video 1, or video 2.) Usually the remote will have a button that says "input". If you push it, it will scroll through the various inputs. You may need to wait a few seconds between each choice for the change to happen.)

You can look at the cable from your DVD player to the TV and see if the inputs on the TV are labeled, and also look at the cable into the TV from the television provider (comcast, dishnetwork, or TV antenna) to see what input that is as well.

Admiral TV model GRD15272 video/dvd

Using the buttons on the TV, go to the setup menu, and scroll to "edit channels" by pressing "setup" button until "edit channels" is highlighted. Then, using the channel up/down buttons, go to channel 91 and press + volume. This should add the video input to your channels. 92 is S-video. It is helpful to have what ever device (dvd player or game console) hooked up and powered on, so you know when you are on the right channel, but it should be 91.

3. Scroll to "Setup" and push "OK"
4. Scroll to "Guide setup" and push "OK"
5. Scroll to"No Auto Tune"

I have purchased a Samsung V 375 - it says it automatically tunes in and installs itself - trouble is I can't get the TV to display the signal by manually searching through mhz channels - I have the rellow...

Forget the mHz channels for now.

On the TV, or TV remote, look for a button that is labeled "Input" or "Video" or something like that. Depending on your TV, there might be a few choices that present themselves once you do this, such as "Video 1", "Video 2", etc. Keep going until you find what looks like the DVD player signal.

If there is no button as described, then look for another button on the TV remote or on the TV labeled "Menu". Then scroll thru the menu until you find "Input". Choices here might be "Cable", "Antenna", "Video". You'll want to choose "Video", or "A/V", or "Line".

Let me know...

I have a 1995 nagnavox tv and i cannot figure out how to hook it up to a dvd player. There doesn't seem to be a hook up of any sort. help me?

If you have a VCR you can run the video out from the dvd player to the input of the vcr. then run the vcr coax cable to your tv. You have to set the tv on channel 3 and the vcr to line in. You set the vcr to line in either by scrolling the channel down button below ch 2 (the display will say "LINE") or find the "input" button on the vcr's remote control and scroll through the inputs untill you see your dvd movie playing.

Input problem

If you have the original remote, hit video, source, or input button, if it dont have them, then try to change the tv to channel 00 (zero or zerozero), if not then the channels might have to scroll to it, from channel 02 down to make it loop, if it goes to the next highest channel, then you need a remote. It may be set in the menu options to have the video source not saved to your list of saved channels. when you scan the channels, the tv might not look for the A/V source (audio / video), maybe just the RF source. The 3 DVD RCA wires are 1 video and 2 stereo, one stereo for left and one stereo for right. The TV has only 2 , 1 for video and 1 for mono 1 channel sound. This wouldnt have anything to do with why you cant use the DVD player. but try that with the original remote (or a universal remote that is set to your tv set that has either video, input, source or something similar. It is what tells the tv to change from the cable source (RF) and the AV source (the Red White and Yellow plugs, in your TV's case, 2 plugs, one yellow and the other either red or white or something). Dont really know how to explain it much more but hope it helps.
