My Sansa Clip will not play in the usb port in my car radio. My mom has a sansa clip and hers will play... i tried switching usb settings. AND i will put all the songs on there and it will skip thru a whole bunch before actually playing any. Help! I have a Macbook pro so I don't know how to change preferences for sansa or anything- although i dont think the problem is with the music.

SOURCE: my sansa clip won't play the songs I loaded on!

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.

Did you try to reset the player? You do this by sliding and holding the power button on the side for about 15-20 seconds. I have a Sansa Clip which resets in the same way. Best of luck!

Sansa clip is not recognized at all by computer. No icon in my computer for the usb port, but sansa clip says it is connected. please help!

Try connecting it to the other USB ports on your computer ... if you haven't already, first try connecting it to a USB port on the back panel of your computer.

Sansa clip won't charge fully

If you have a phone charger with the same connector, plug in you Clip and leave it overnight. This will fully charge the battery. There is not enough power from the USB port.

My sansa clip turns on but the display does not light up. It plays FM radio, but that is all. Thank you for your time.

It's switches may have dust that is why it is not working. Try cleaning the switches and switch pads.

Battery
The Sansa
®
Clip player comes with an internal rechargeable battery. To use the player for
the very first time, remember to fully charge the battery. You can charge your Sansa
®
player through the USB port of your computer, a car adapter (not included) USB port, or AC
adapter (not included) USB port.
Charging
To charge the battery, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the larger end of the USB cable into an available USB port on the
computer.
2. Connect the smaller end of the USB cable into the Sansa
®
Clip player.
3. The computer must be on for most USB ports to charge your battery. Your
Sansa
®
will show connected and the yellow charging indicator will appear.
The battery level indicator will blink while charging. You will not be able to
play while connected to the computer USB.
4. To stop recharging, simply disconnect the cable.
The battery can also be charged using an AC adapter (not included) or a car adapter
(not included) and you will be able to play your device while charging with one of the
adapters.
NOTE: Some low-power USB ports may not be able to provide enough charge
power. Also note that the rechargeable batteries are not replaceable.

Sansa clip 2gb lockec

First of all, may I ask if you have a mini disc player or a Sansa Clip? Because the Sansa Clip does not play discs of any kind.

If you do indeed have a Sansa Clip you will find the FAQ rather helpful here - http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_clip/faqs
Question 9 there is regarding devices not recognized by the PC and the solutions are as follows:
The most common reason for this problem is not having the latest Windows Media Player installed, or having a Windows OS version that is not supported by the Sansa player.
The Sansa players support Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista and above. If your operating system version is supported by the Sansa player:
SOLUTION 1 – Download and install the latest Windows Media Player

SOLUTION 2 – If that didn’t help, and you are running Windows Vista, apply the following hotfix - KB940199
SOLUTION 3 – If that didn’t help, download and Install the MTP Porting Kit (click here)
SOLUTION 4 – If that didn’t help, try connecting the device to the PC using MSC mode

Clip: Go to Settings > USB mode & choose MSC

If none of the solutions work for you, please post the results of your attempts and we can go from there.

Sansa Clip does not show up on computer

I had the same problem all you've got to do is first turn on the sansa clip. Then go to settings. After that scroll down to USB mode (second from bottom) then it woul probably say auto detect. Scroll down to MSC then hit enter. If that doesn't work try MTP mode.
