Lid has clear top. Plastic frame has cracked on back right corner and door lock won't engage. Can I disable the door lock sensor until I get a new lid and what's a good source for the lid. Where can I find the exploded drawing to replace the lid.
The lock cannot be disabled, The lid removes easily and is also simple to replace.
Depending on where in the world you are depends on where you will get a lid, If you do a google search in your area for whirlpool spares you will get some results.
Here's the problem...this plastic hinged top will just keep cracking. I purchased this same washer in Nove 2011...three months later the top hinge on the right side cracked. The local vendor replaced it for free. Today, I see that the other side has cracked and the vendor tells me the warranty has expired. I can get this replaced, but it is just going to keep happening.
It seems like everyone having the same issue and whirl pool will not take ownership for it.

"dl"indicates a door lock error. A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be unlocked. It will try to lock it 6 times before displaying the error.
