Answered

Whirlpool duet dryer won't start

There is power to the dryer, but it won't start. I have held the start button in made sure the door was shut, tried different settings... help me please!

    When I press the start button it beeps once and the sensing light comes on. And then nothing. Please help. Rebecca

My circuit board had a burnt solder dot and the motor relay, I cleaned it up and re-soldered and it works great whirlpool duet dryer won't start - 9_24_2012_8_49_03_pm.jpg

    At the motor relay, not "and the relay", sorry

I have a Whirlpool Duet Sport (model #WFW8400TW03) that shuts down when I press start. There are no error codes and the last cycle ran with no issues. The door is shut and seems secure. I can find nothing...
I had the same problem. My control lock was on without the status light on. To unlock the controls I Selected and held END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for at least 3 seconds. The lock/unlock control status light never indicated the locked position, yet my washer now works. NOTE: Select and hold END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds to toggle between lock and unlock.
