Hi I am not able to use the compu defrost on my sharp carousel R-230 Av microwave. Does someone have the manual or the steps to use compu defrost Thnx
Please walk me through the defrost on my sharp micor
Models R420D and R520D also have this common feature found on Sharp microwaves. You can download that manual free at the link below (not my link) and the section on Compu Defrost should help you just fine. http://www.htsarebates.com/files/mic_man_420,520D.pdf#search=%22sharp%20compu%20defrost%20filetype%3Apdf%22 Or you can just do the Google search below and you'll end up with a list of several manuals you can try: "sharp compu defrost filetype:pdf" (without the quotes)
For the R230: First select "defrost" Next, select from the list on the front of the machine the number that matches what you're defrosting. For example, ground beef is number "1" Then put the approximate weight of the item. Note: If the weight you enter is more or less than the allowed amount (0.5-3.0 for one half to 3 pounds) you will get an "EE" error message. Last push the "Start" button. For longer defrost times the machine will stop halfway through and beep so you can check the progress. Take a peek, close the door and push start again. Hope this helps.
I don't know how to cook in my Sharp Carousel microwave oven. can you help me with my problem? i
Is my oven broken or what can I do?

Usually answered in minutes!
can't read lcd, don't know the sequence for defrost and portions order.... ect...
I get a EE error when trying to set to a defrost cycle. I did not receive a owners maual with my new microwave from Sears. If anyone has a copy and can solve this it would be greatley appreciated.
Keep the door open. Notice the sticker (usually covered by the door) with the food codes. With the door still open, press the defrost button, followed by the code from the sticker. With the door still open input the weight in lbs with the number pad and press start. NOW, close the door and press start. :) I didn't receive an owner's manual either and wrongfully blamed my husband for throwing it out, but after playing around with it I figured it out. :) Thought, I'd share my "eurika" discovery w everyone. ;)
thanx. works well : )
