When i phone people noone can hear me but i can here them what could this be as i can hear on videos

It sounds like the Micophone on your machine is 'clogged up' or dirty. it is a very small opening and can easily get blocked.
Clean it out and all will be fine. If not, then you need to get it to a Service Centre for repair.
Also ; GOOD telephone practice is to speak close to the microphone and not point the microphone away from your mouth.whilst talking.

Hi, I recently reformatted my hard drive and installed Windows 7. Before that, I had windows vista and my mic worked fine. Now, windows 7 picks up the mic and says it's enabled and it's not muted,...

Check the web-site of the manufacturer of the computer (and the motherboard) to see if they have updated device-drivers for Windows 7.

Are you sure that you've plugged the microphone into the 'pink' ("microphone-in") socket?

Open the "sound-mixer" application, and check that the "microphone-in" is not muted,
and that the slider is pushed to the maximum level.

Try a different microphone.

Windows Vista. Using Skype, the person on the receiving end can't hear me. If I am running iTunes on that computer, though, the recipient can hear the music, just not my voice. I can hear them.

Hi
Start skype. Choose the menu calls then sound settings, select the device through which to speak: web camera, if you are using a built-in microphone or any other bluetooth headset if you are using or external microphone

Laptop VOICE PROBLEM

Have you tried running through the sound wizard in Control Panel and answering the questions based on what you have. Should fix the problem.

Microphone problems

Go to your control panel in windows, you can get there from the start menu no matter what version you are on.

In the control panel, double click on Sound. In the new window, click on file and settings... or advanced I cant remember exactly which as I am using vista. There you should be able to select "Recording". Click ok.

Now you should be able to see where it says microphone, with a volume bar and so on. Put a check in the "Mute" box. This will not completely mute the microphone, it should only make it to where you will no longer hear it on your speakers.

Try talking to your friends now... It should work! I hope this helped to fix your problem, if not, let me know and we can try something else.

Micrphone doesnt work

No one hears you because your microphone is probably set on mute. Go to your start menu, then go to control Panel, find Volume and Sound Control should be the icon that looks like a speaker. Double click that icon. From there Click Options and then properties, find the Microphone option and click the box to the left. This should add Microphone to your menu, then simply unmute your microphone.
