Check that it is installing to the correct file. Normally C Drive "Program files" I would suggest you go to the control panel and locate and completely uninstall the Epson scanner program first. This will give you a clean install. Check that during the installation, the disc may ask where you want the program to be installed. If it has a suggestion, let it instal itself, where it thinks is best.

The dvd does not need driver, you need to reinstall Windows.

If you are using the Windows Vista or Windows 7 Operating System, please disable UAC Feature from Control Panel.

Enter your Email details go ahead with download process.

Then install the Driver.

Administrator is an account of your computer, all the activities are held in administrator account. Although there is no password set for administrator account but if anyone in your family or relative must have set up a password,that's a different thing. I suggest you to install your windows again,in order to reset your administrator password.

If you are checking the "install" box in the download manager, try checking "save file" instead. Then you can unzip the file and install from the desktop, or whichever folder you saved it to.

If the printer is still not printing, try first replacing the usb cable, and try a different USB port.


If still no luck , then you will probably need to reinstall the driver software, either from CD , or downloading the file from Lexmark website.

After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.

• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Always start printer setup with printer unplugged, and chose printer as default during install.

Note:some printer does not work on Vista

Please try this:

right click My Computer > Click properties > Click Hardware > Devuice manager > Select and remove the printer .

And restart the computer.

When prompted show the location of the driver files. This should solve your problem. Otherwise please let us know...

Uninstall Windows Vista. Do a fresh install of Windows XP Professional Sp2. Download XP drivers and install camera. Many software programs have trouble initializing in Windows Vista. Good luck!
