No picture on screen, flashing orange & green light and noises

I have just changed the batteries in my camera, and when I turn it on there is no picture display, and the orange and green light just keep flashing. It keeps making a weird noise, like a CD skipping. Does anyone know what is wrong or how I can fix the problem??

Orange light flashes on when turn on Olympus c-50 zoom camera and orange and green lights in upper left corner blink when try to take pictures. Won't take any pictures

The flashing Orange light means the charge is flashing.
The flashing Green light means the focus and exposure are not correct.

Have you recently replaced the batteries? Or are you using rechargeable batteries? Lack of enough "Juice" could allow for the flash to not charge up (Orange) therefore not allowing the camera to get the correct exposure (Green). I would try new fresh batteries or a new battery pack. If that doesn't fix the issue it must be a bad circuitry in the body that is shorting not letting the flash charge.

I turn on the camera, (S2550) and the green light indicator comes on. THen the green light changes to orange. THe display screen is black even when I press the button to take a picture. No picture...

With the orange light being on that means that the battery is not connecting properly or that it needs to be replaced. The first thing that you can try is a little rubbing alcohol on the connections of the battery itself and the connections inside the camera where the battery terminals connect. If that does not solve your issue then you will need to replace the battery

Should the power light be green or red, when I turn camera on it shows a green light then turns red

Red light indicates that the camera is out of charged., Try to charged your battery for 3-4 hrs if you encounter flashing red on a fully charged battery you need to call kodak 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

You can charged you camera using 5V AC Adaptor or a USB cable taht attached into the computer

My flash is not working

Change your batteries, the light should not be orange, but a brighter shade of red, or maybe GREEN.

Camera not taking pictures

The camera may be trying to tell you that your flash is turned off in Auto mode, but to get a proper exposure you will need the flash turned on. Try turning the flash on and see if that works.

Hope this helps!

My batteries died in my pink i733 and when it shut down the "zoom lense" did not recede. i put fresh batteries in it but all that happens is that the green light flashes. it wont come on or...

This can sometimes be fixed if you remove the batteries over night and allow the camera to sit and discharge it should correct this problem. hope this helps.

Camera won't take picture

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
