Hi Geno,
I have the same problem. Reading previous answers it seems we need to remove the sparkplug, insert a bit of rope gently in to block the motor and once blocked the nut on the fan/impeller can be undone.
I'm going to give this a try on mine. Recommend we both proceed with caution, mate!
Good luck!

Must admit I'd forgotten about this. In the meantime I did use the rope trick and it did work :-)

Looks pretty straight forward, remove the fan door, intake restrictor and a locking nut and the fan should come off.

I have a broken ceiling fan blade arm for Harbor Breeze Model #OM52-5B/Q1M (outdoor fan). Can I get a replacement arm or do I have to buy a whole new fan?

you will have to get 3 (4) blades as they have to be exactly the same
At this point I would advise a new fan because the settings of the blades have to be exact or it will wobble all over the place
to explain even with a new unit, the fan blades have to be measured from a fixed surface ( normally the ceiling
each tip of the blade has to be the same distance and the front and back of the blade measurements at the tip have to be the same on all blades
If you get it right the fan will spin without any movement

How to reverse a blower vac

You will be wasting your time. The fan creating the wind is not going to give you proper flow. It was designed to work one way. Changing wiring will not work on some motors. Also depends if its AC or DC motor.

52 inch ceiling fan hampton bay--Humming..... Tightened blades, adjusted fan blades, changed to a new wall switch, blade to ceiling height O.K.... still humms, what can I do??? thank you

Sounds like you have covered all the bases already, but there is the small possibility that it is the housing vibrating. You can remove it and buffer the adjoining parts with electrical tape on the inside (so as to be hidden). Otherwise, you have a fan that hums (many just do). May need to exchange for a known quiet model like a Hunter or Panasonic.

I REPLACE CONDENSOR FAN ON A LENNOX BUT THE FAN IS OVER HEATTING AND STOPS& COOLS DOWN AND RUNS

Did you replace the fan blade or the fan motor? If you replaced the fan blade, is it exactly the same blade as the old one? If it has more blades, or wider blades, or if the blades are at a different pitch than the original, it is capable of moving a greater amount of air, but the old fan motor is not big enough in Horsepower to do the extra work. Thus, you should change the blade again to one that is exactly the same as the old one. If it is a window unit, you could try running the fan on a lower speed and it might work.If you replaced the fan motor, you must check to make sure that the new motor is exactly the same as the old one. You also could have it wired wrong, so you must check that also.

What does it require to change radiator fan blades

They are just attache with 10mm bolts. You would need to remove the fan shroud first to get access.

  1. Remove radiator from vehicle.
  2. Remove fan shroud retaining bolts, and cooling fan motor/blade/shroud assembly.
  3. Remove fan blade retaining clips and blades.
  4. Remove motor mounting screws and motors.
  5. If necessary, remove Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM).

Removing ceiling fan blades

Wait? Why would you want to remove the blade? Are they broken? Is the fan unbalanced? Try cleaning the blade. If the fan still wobbles, try tightening the screws. If the fan still wobbles, Unscrew the blade and unconnect the blade from blade iron. Buy the new blade iron. If the blade is broken, Also buy the new blade.
