Try removing the - negative - black battery terminal for at least 5 minutes then reconnect it. NOTE All of your preset radio stations clock and other settings will also be reset. Check your owners manual for more information.
I bought a used 2008 Ram 1500 SLT Sport; satellite would stay stuck on channel 184 with no sound, etc.
Solution: Disconnect negative wire from vehicle battery; wait 1-hour then reconnect. This clears satellite radio cache (a.k.a. hard reset).
Turn on satellite radion; Call Sirius support to send activation signal. Wait on phone with tech support; may take them 2 - 3 tries to get signal to take on radio.
Hit eject button and clock button at same time. Ur Id number will show up. It will only show 4 numbers at a time. Hit seek button 2 more times to get the rest of the numbers
Do you have a paid subscription? IF you do, call and have them with your radio's serial number and ask them to 'refresh' your radio to restore the other channels. If you only have channel 184 and CH1, it sounds like you haven't purchased a monthly subscription yet.
The information as to what is playing is part of the data stream sent by Sirius, and I've never seen a satellite receiver that does not display this information. If this is a factory unit, information on its operation should be in your owners manual (and your dealer is there to help you). If this is an aftermarket radio, you ought to have an owners manual which should describe how to change the information displayed on the faceplate. Either way, the unit should give you full information about the data stream it is receiving. If not, something is amiss and may fall under warranty coverage.
soft reset. get in turn on truck with door shut turn on sat radio on ch 184. turn off radio turn off truck and take keys out. next open door fully for 90 seconds. shut door. turn on truck. turn on radio and have sirius reset it. its called a soft reset.
You may have to go to your nearest electronics store or Sirius vendor to see if they have an extension cord...as a Sirius customer i never seen one though......Your best bet is to remount the antenna to the forward part of the roof, towards the windshield.
Just take the fakra connector (plastic piece) off and it will be just like the sirius antenna end. Then buy a 10ft extention cable... I've just order mine and will have pics when done
