Bosch Nexxt 100 Series WFMC1001UC Front Load Washer Logo

Washer will not spin. Cleaned drain/filter. Worked for 2 days. Now won't spin and checked drain, it is clean. The drain pump works fine. What to check next?

As the title says. Cleaned drain when 1st stopped spinning and it worked for 2 days. Then stopped spinning again. Checked drain and it's clean. When put in "spin" mode, the drain pump comes on and "drains"..then stops. Spin doesn't spin and we let it sit for a bit and then it beeps as if it's "completed". I don't mind buying a motor, but if it's not the motor, then what?

Thinking more on this. If the drain area and the filter is clear, is there any other portion of the drain that will keep it from spinning? Wondering if putting a hose through the drain line to flush it would help any.

I had the same problem a year ago. nothing seemed to work. we even got a new washer, same problem. we ended up putting the washer on its own circuit. works fine now.

Note your brand and model. Check on YouTube for change of motor brushes. Then disconnect your motor and check your brushes; follow noting how you dis-assemble so you can re-assemble easier. If your brushes are less than half an inch long get new brushes (thru this very site Fixya) and refit; actually this is quite easy. The spin has a lot to do with worn motor brushes. Manufactures want you to dump machines and buy; it helps them all. Not you - you shell out bucks

Washer won't spin

Hi hometownrock,

The washing machine may have a problem draining the water, if it cannot drain the water, then the cycle will not progress to Spin. You may have a foreign object in the Drain Pump Filter, this must be checked.

Please follow my below Tip on how to do this:

ACCESSING, DRAINING & CLEANING THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER...

Kind Regards

My washer did fill, but won't spin or drain now and the door won't open

Hi tragz,

If it can't drain, it won't spin. There may be something preventing the pump from draining in the Pump filter. You will need to clean it.

Please follow my below Tip on how to do it:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER

My washer will not spin, it sounds like it's trying to spin but it won't spin and if i turn the barrell by hand it spins so it's not frozen or anything. Any suggestions?

Hi mwilczewsk,

I believe your drain pump filter is just clogged. The drain pump is trying to pump the water out before the Spin cycle, but can't. Usually this is caused by a foreign object that is obstructing the impeller. See my tip on how to access, drain & clean the Drain Pump Filter:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER

After this, the Spin cycle will run, after the drainage procedure. If it does not, then you may need to replace the Drain Motor. Which is a easy task.

Kind Regards :-)

I wonder why there is still water left inside my front load after draining. It used to be totally drained. But now as you turn the drum by hand you can hear water inside of it. My samsung is Wd 6102

Hi the likely problem is a blocked drain filter or a bad pump. Their will either be a small door at the front right or a removable panel under the door. gain access to the pump and beside the pump there will be what looks like a gas cap on a car. unscrew it and clean the filter. If you don't see too much that would block the filter then your problem is the pump replace it. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike
