Good day to you.
I have a toshiba Laptop with Bios Password problem. I cannot start my system anymore, cos the laptop is requesting for Bios password which I dont know or have.
I have tried all i could but no solutions to it. Please what can you do for me? Is there any password to unlock the bios or to clear the bios?

To use a Safe Boot option, follow these steps: 1. Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. 2. Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER. 3. When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and then press ENTER. If the above method cannot help you, try this useful tool, Windows Password Seeker

You can remove the cmos battery (small round battery on the motherboard) for about 45 min and the password should be cleared.
Bios will be resetted to default settings.
Please rate, thks.

Hi,
for removing the password,
you have to open the memory cover and remove the two RAM s,
after that remove a black or whit plastic film depending on your model, you will loacte for B500 marqued ( XXX ) or J1 you have at least short
the two point with a flat screwdriver and put the upper memory and power on the laptop will holding the screew driver till you see the toshiba screen, if it doen't work just try again. it works 100%

I have a similar problem. I have a prompt as soon as I turn on the laptop that says. "HDD Password = " I can't boot to A drive, CD-ROM, Network or anything. Disconnecting the CMOS battery didn't work. Does anyone know a way I can format this hard drive without having to remove it from the native unit?
