After putting the seal on with the aid of washing up liquid put the spring on first by the door catch hold it on with one hand and isnert a screwdriver in the hole for the door catch this will enable you to hold the spring on if you put your knee against the screwdriver giving you two hands free to push the spring on

WELL TO BE ONEST WITH YA YOUR GONNA STRUGGLE WITH IT TO GET IT ON AS THE FRONT PANEL DOES NOT COME OFF THE MACHINE UNLIKE THE HOTPOINTS. wHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS FRIST PUT THE DOORSEAL ON WITH OUT THE SPRING RING. THEN GET SOME FAIRY LIQUIED AND RUB IT INTO THE SPRING RING THIS WILL HELP MAKE PUTTING IT ON A LITTLE EASIER. YOU MIGHT MOST LIKELY WILL NEED TWO PEOPLE FOR THE JOB TO HOLD THE ONE SIDE OF THE SPRING AS YOU FOR IT ON TO THE OTHER SIDE. TURST ME FAIRY LIQUID WILL MAKE THE JOB ALOT EAISER. AND YES IT IS ALWAYS FITTED WITH THE DRUM INSIDE THE MACHINE AN AVERAGE TIME FOR AN ENGINEER IS ABUT 45 SECONDS FOR GETTING IT ON THE DRUM. TRY TRY AND TRY AGAIN MY FIRST ONE TOOK ME 20 MINS I STRUGGLED BUT NOW I DO EM IN A FLASH. FAIRY IS THE KEY IT HELPS THE SPRING TRAVEL EAISER INTO ITS POSTION.

It was really helpful to use washing up liquid both to fit the rubber bellow over the inner drum and to fit the spring ring to fix the bellow. The key is the washing up liquid. Thanks for your help.

How do i get a gasket replaced on a sears kenmore freezer model 31165

Order the new gasket using your model number- 31165 is not a valid/complete model. Remove the door and lay it flat on the floor, then remove the screws from the upper half of the door perimeter- DO NOT remove all the screws at once or you will be unhappy! Pull the top half of the old gasket away from the door, then put the top half of the new gasket in place and screw it back down. Next, remove the bottom half of the screws and pull the old gasket off, then put the bottom half of the new gasket in place and screw it down. If you try to do it all at once, the door will flex out of plane and won't lay flat when you re-attach it. You might need a hair dryer to soften the gasket if it was deformed during shipping. If you have a newer, press-fit style gasket, just yank it and press the new one in... Door Gasket 241872513

Procedure to Replace the Gasket on a Refrigerator Door?

The procedure is as follows:--
1)You can start from the top outside corner of the door. 2) Then carefully fold/pry the old gasket back by partly loosening the screws along half of the top and side of refrigerator.
3) Take care you don't loosen the screws all the way or remove then completely out.
4) Then you can slowly pull the old gasket out.
5) The old gasket is out now.you can now take the new gasket and fit the new gasket by pushing it beneath the metal retainer and re-tightening the screws .
6) Reverse the procedure by re-fitting all the parts which were removed while removing the old gasket .

This will help.Good Luck.

Can gasket for CR09FFW be replaced?

if you are referring to the door seal ( sometimes called a gasket) yes it can be replaced by a new genuine item or in some areas there is a private operation that goes around making door seals to fit and are fitted as part of the price
look in the yellow pages (business directory ) for refrigerator repairs or refrigerator door seals
Note here - although you may contemplate doing the job your self , some old seals are glued in and need knowledge as how to remove it , and the door will some times go out of shape when the door shelves panel is removed so it is best to get in a professional to do the job

How. To change Rear main seal

remove gear box and flywheel for starters if the rear seal is in a case then remove that case and fit new seal. If it is a lip seal the remove the old seal and check the crank shaft for a groove. IT is grooved use a "speedie" sleeve ( trade mark name) from a bearing /seal supplier and then fit the new seal using a quality seal fitting tool.

If the rear main seal is the old two piece seal/ felt seal then you will have to virtually remove the crank to do the job properly.

Need instructions on how to replace door gasket of dometic 2310 rv refriterator.

loosen all the screws located in the middle of the old door gasket, remove the old gasket. starting at the top of the door; wedge the new door top gasket corner into one of the gasket frame corners at the door top and, screw it down to secure; because the gasket will not be wide enough; use a hairdryer to gently stretch it to the other top corner and, secure that corner then : using the hairdryer continue to stretch the gasket downward and, fit the rest of the door gasket into both of the remaining bottom corners then: slip the rest of the gasket under the gasket frame and, tighten all the gasket frame brackets.

ICE DOOR SEAL IS LOOSE AND NOT SEALING CAUSING FROST BUILDUP

Hello,

This is the step you will use to repair your ice door seal that is loose.

There are screws under the fold of the freezer door gasket that holds the brace for the gasket in place. Lift the rubber gasket to expose the screw head, one section at a time. Just loosen the screw, and do not take it completely out.

As you loosen the screws, one section at a time, carefully remove the old gasket. At the same time, fit the new gasket into the groove. Make sure your new gasket is lined up properly.

Continue around the freezer door, unloosening the screw, taking out the old gasket and fitting the new one in.

Tighten the screws into place. This may have to be done once the entire gasket is fitted into place.

Check the seal by closing the door. You should have a nice, tight seal.

Good luck.

Need to replace the door gasket. Can this be done with the door on?

Door on is the preferred method for me. Once you take it off and place it on the floor you can break the handle. (must remove the handle if you remove the door or place it on blocks of wood. (IF you remove it)

It is a matter of loosening the screws removing the old door seal and fitting the new door seal in place.

(Tighten the seal mounting / hold down screws when your done fitting the new seal.)

    Thanks for using FixYa!

How do I replace the door seal on a Neff under the counter refrigerstor?

Some door seal gaskets just wedge into place and are easily replaced. Replacing the gasket is simply the reverse of removing the old one. You peal out the old gasket and fit in the new and press it into the slot.
