All of the hose connections seem to be secure; however, during the spin cycle water comes out of the bottom of the machine Most of the water seems to drain through the the drain hose, but we are still getting puddles underneath the machine.
You may want to check the seal at the bottom of the agitator, there is a o-ring that keeps the water in the drum from leaking through the agitator as it spins. This is a cheap seal and will wear over a period of time from exposure to bleach and detergent. You need to take the agitator apart and remove it from the drum and you should see this seal at the base of the agitator were it meets the drum.
Replace the seal and reassemble, take the metal casing off the washer and fill the drum with a little water, wait, and see if the water is leaking under the drum. If no leak, try to reassemble and run the washer. If is still leaks then check http://www.applianceaid.com/genew.html

How do you take the agitator apart and remove it from the drum?
My washer pumped 1/3 of the water out onto the floor from underneath, and shut down. Where do I start?
The problem is with the back flow preventer located at the top back right corner where the drain hose attaches to the back flow preventer. The back flow preventer has a vent on the top that will pressurize when the washer is in the spin cycle. The soft rubber washer fails and a small amount of water leakes out. I am looking for a handi man fix.

Here is one possibility: I had the same problem, plus I had a rattling sound coming from underneath during spin cycle The hoses and tub seal looked fine. I the disconnected all the hoses and power and raised up the washer on blocks and poured water in the tub to get a better look. The water was dripping off one of water pumps at the bottom but I couldn't tell its source. I finally took off the water pump and found a crack on the pump housing. It was a very small crack and opposite the visible side so it just looked like it was coming out one of the hoses.. Also, two pennies fell out so I think they were the source of the rattling and also what caused the crack (the pennies being pushed around by the impeller knocking against the side). A new water pump is over $100, but I was able to fix the crack using 2 part epoxy repair rated for water. I used the two part "gooey" kind vs the "modeling" clay type expoxy figuring it would better seal a samall crack. I would not recommend using something like CA or crazy glue since they tend to melt the plastic and probably wouldn't be good for this particular type of patch.

Check the seal between the top plastic cap and the outer tub. There are 6-8 clips that secure the cap to the tub. My washer would leak water when full and start spinning. I found the seal split in two.
The pump housing is cracked perhaps
take the pump out and inspect it back and front unit look for cracks inside the vane housing
just takes a bit or bra wire or a coin or two to crack then then they leek on spin cycle or with sitting water look for any signs of rust if its there eventaully youll get electronics parts failure... add a bit of die to the machines full state add some die so wait till its full of standing water turn it off and look for the colour where it comes from

I have recently purchased a second hand Atlantis top load washer. It leaks a small puddle of water when washing. Also, I notice when I moved it to clean the floor underneath, it leaves a light swirl of oily looking water on the floor. When looking underneath the machine I see evidence of along the bottom outer edges of the machine. It seems to work fine otherwise, any hints at repair. And if so, is it a do-it yourselfer, I am mechanically inclined, but do not have any special tools. Just the basic wrench, socket and screw driver sets, to name a few.
I have the Maytag LSE7806ACE. Mine was leaking water as well. I called my friend over who helped me replace the belts a few months ago (I burned them out from washing a king-sized comforter which was too large I guess). He took the front panel off the washer portion. The machine does everything except agitate. When the washer fills up and starts to wash (or rinse), the tub only spins which is causing the water to overflow out of that white plastic tub cover ( AP250092). And I can see water coming out of the liquid bleach dispenser as well. It is also not recognizing the Small/Medium/Large water levels. I tried to replace the water level switch but that didn't seem to make a difference. I'm broke and want to try and fix it myself. I have a great appliance parts store I can get any part from. Just need directions.

My washer overflows AFTER the water is disbursed into the machine. It seems to overflow while it is agitating and prior to draining and spinning. It overflows over the white lip and into the wall and floods the floor. My repair man has replaced a few parts - the first was a couple parts that were relating to the water not filling properly, which wasn't the case. He also replaced a brake - which didn't help. He thinks it has something to do with the Centrifugal Force when it spins when it shouldn't. The machine doesn't do it all the time, so it's hard to diagnose, as it never happens for the repair man.

Like many of the others at this site, I have water leaking from under the Maytag Atlantis. Â It leaks during the spin cycle, but I can also see it leaking from underneath if I fill the tub and stop the cycle.

The water seems to be leaking from the bottom of the washer. A Maytag repairman came in and started the washer (without any clothes) in it and it did not leak. However, the next morning, there was a puddle by the washer. So, whenI put in clothes and start my wash, the leak comes immediately. When no clothes are in the washer and you start it (as a test), water does not leak at all. However, within the next day, there will be a puddle on the floor.

I found my leak to be the hose at the bottom of the fram (sitting ON the frame) where water exits the tub and goes to the pump. Turned out a small hole developped on the underside of the host due to vibrations over time (my guess) since no other parts are pressing against it. I had placed a few paper towels flat under the pump to catch the falling drips, but nothing came down, except the floor got a little wetter. Since only one hose was below the paper towels, when I lifted that hose a little water spilled out... Simplest things, whew, wish they were all like that...
had bottom hose under pump sitting on frame, developped a tiny hole (vibration?) and leaked... found it by place strategic paper towels under diff't parts of bottom washer guts while running... found no drops, but floor was getting wet... bottom hose touching frame was culprit.
