Toolbox4.9 says supported scanner not installed. Put in disk for printer/scanner and run it, says it has been installed successfully. It shows up with (error) in the Control Panel under Printers, but does not show up under Imaging Devices in the Device Manager. Have tried disconnecting USP, reset, unplugging, and restarting the PC. Scanner and printer worked only moments earlier. Tech suggested a corrupted file. How do you uncorrupt it?

Just as a try- set up a new printer like this Start/printers and faxes/install new printer When you get insert CD or select from list Take Select from list. select then Canon in the makes list and then the model from the model list. Click install See what you get. It is possible you will get the printer only and no scanner - I do'nt know, But try it.
