My parents have a Vaillant Ecotec 831 boiler. Has continually broken down ever since it was fitted nearly 2 years ago. The guy who fitted it keeps coming out and it works for a few days then packs in again. Any ideas what the problem might be? My parents are elderly and look after my handicapped brother and with winter coming on I want to get it sorted out for them. Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

Got a valiant 350f for valiant ecotec 831 boiler receiver light is green but cant get it to turn heating on please help with pairing ?

The Symbols should be there whenever the boiler is in use, it confirms the pump is running and the gas valve is open...i.e firing.
the pump overrun may come on after a firing to dissipate excess heat and is what it says, i.e the pump continues to run to keep the hot water moving to prevent the boiler from getting noisey. Sometimes you may see a radiator symbol which means the boiler is doing a 'heating' cycle as against hot water.

you should have a filling loop turn the vavles to get the pressuer back up to 1.5bar

Sounds like it is trying to constantly ignite ,the clicking will be the electrodes trying to fire,change the ignition electrode.

my eco tec wall mounted boiler cuts out after about 10to15 days this unit was fitted in august this year

check to see the time clock is set with the clock symbol. there are three settings on analog clocks I , O and clock the I setting is constant running, the O setting is off and the clock setting is timer.
also try setting the thermostat up higher to see if the boiler fires.
