We just bought a house with a Bosch nexxt 100 wfmc1001uc model washer. It has been working fine for weeks but now the drum has totally stopped spinning in both wash mode and final spin. The washer fills with water and also still drains. My husband opened it up to look for the belt and it seems intact. The drum spins if you move it by hand. The washer was bought brand new in 2008. Not impressed with Bosch so far. Any idea of what this could be? My husband was just laid off so we are worried it will cost hundreds to fix...

This is a trouble code for a fill that is taking to long. Make sure that both the hot and cold water valves are turned on. Hope this helps.

is there a drain on the bottom left corner if so drain the contents its usually under a small panel

draining has nothing to do with spinning.
open the back of your machine and you can see the mechanical parts of your washing machine
try to turn it ON , just keep a distance enough for you to see,
1. check the belt if it is attached and aligned (if loose, tighten it a little bit)
2. check if the motor is running ( if not, check the capacitor-small aluminum tube with wires) if busted replace it.
3. check if there is any hamming sound from the motor, if make a humming sound but does'nt rotate, take it out and bring it to machine shop to replace the bearing or bushing

take a look at your manual that came with your machine go to problems usually at the back and see what that says,or go to the bosch website and type in your model number its on the inside of the door.i would suspect a program fault.adrian,,,,,

Check that the w/m is level (not necessarily with a spirit, just that it doesn't rock and roll), lock the foot nuts up to the machine. Check the pump filter and outlet pipes for blockages. A machine will be noisy if it taking to long to discharge the waste water. If you have moved the w/m and are in a hard water area, you may have dislodged built up lime and that has created the problem, run a heavy duty descaler (designed for w/ms) through the w/m.
Good luck
