Water & Ice Maker installation schematics. Need diagram of back of refrigerator

The 2 gray plastic water lines coming out of the top left corner of the back of the refrigerator end in brass metal thread connectors hanging 6" above the floor. The left 1/4" plastic line has 2 blue bands on it. The clear plastic line coming out of the upper right corner of the back ends in a female threaded fitting. This fridge was given to us. The water installation instructions show just one connector to the water supply line of the house. Why the 3 lines all ending in an open fitting.

How do you install maytag "mbb1954g" ice maker plastic water line connection to the freezer?

To connect the water supply using a plastic hose kit to the MBB1954G UNIT, you can follow these steps:

Turn off the water supply valve under the sink.
Remove the old hose from the water supply valve and the back of the refrigerator.
Attach the new plastic hose to the water supply valve and the back of the refrigerator. Make sure the hose is not kinked or twisted.
Tighten the fittings with an adjustable wrench.
Turn on the water supply valve and check for leaks.

Why is my GE (ZFSB23D SS) side by side refrigerator leaking at the back corner, near the rear wheel where the plastic water line goes in?

If the tubing is plastic it could have cracked when you moved the tubing to install the filter. If the tubing is OK then possinly the filter isn't all the way in or is leaking.

How to remove icemaker from whrilpool ultraease refridgerator

I had a simular problem with my Whirlpool frig--First of all I would check 1/4 inch plastic line coming from water valve up to ice maker, loosen this line & try to blow thru it -if there is an obstruction it probably is frozen inside plastic fitting at top where it goes thru cabinet & into ice maker if so you can melt by by running a very warm metal object up & inside fitting be patient, you need to both inside & outside--If this the problem, your water valve is probaly bad because of not shutting off properly causing the "drip effect" you can purchase valve on line for aprox $10.00--$25.00 Good Luck--John Morris--

Ice maker not working

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. It’s on the back where the water supply comes in. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

I have water leaking in the freeer apparently down the back wall and pools on floor to form ice. Water has also accumulates under freezer on hard wood floor but not all the time. Model MSD27326R There is...

Water coming from the back of the refrigerator usually comes from either the ice maker water valve or line (if there is an ice maker), or from the defrost drain pan.

Here's what to do:
  • If the water is coming from the ice maker water valve, check to make sure the water tubes are attached properly and are fastened tightly.
  • If the water seems to be coming from any part of the valve itself, replace the valve.
  • If the water appears to be coming from the defrost drain pan, inspect for holes or cracks, and replace the pan if necessary.

Ice maker installation

do you have a water supply line connected to the refrigerator? if so, it connects to the water solenoid, so you wont need to install that. if you have no water line, not only do you need to install that, but you will also have to check to see if you also need to install the solenoid assembly. if no solenoid is present, you will likely also have to run a plastic water line, ¼", from the solenoid up the back wall into the sleeve near the top of the back wall, which feeds the water into the freezer, into the icemaker.

if you want to send a check, id be glad to post a video

Kenmore frig ice machine doesn't make cube ice

Normally, the ice "cubes" are crescent shaped. The most likely cause for "crushed" ice is that the ice maker isn't getting enough water on its refill cycle after ejecting the tray. Becuase there isn't enough water, the ice looks crushed...it's actually shattered.

Check the water inlet and chute to the ice maker. Sometimes they freeze and have to be manually defrosted. A hair dryer will do the trick. Also check the water chute and be sure it isn't partially frozen.

Start there...if no luck you could also have a failing water filter or sticky water solenoid valve.
