Sometimes the weather brings us surprises. For example, it is sunny in the morning bet when you leave your office, it is snowing outside. So, it can spoil our evening. In such cases, snow day finder is necessary because it can warn you about future weather changes.

SOURCE: Sharp Weather Station Model SPC344 The outside

After inserting the batteries, DO NOT set the time until the OUTSIDE temperature registers. That's the trick.

SOURCE: National Geographic radio controlled weather station Model # 265nc transmitter will not communicate between station and the transmitter?

There is a battery in both the transmitter and receiver. If either one of them is weak then it won't sync. I would try replacing the transmitter battery first.

AcuRite Professional Weather Center 01602BPDI. It eats the outside batteries. Batteries last about 2-3 months till low battery power shows inside with -40 degrees plus other false readings.

My National Geographic Weather Station is the opposite. The outside sensor only indicates the temperature, but the single CR2023 battery lasts a year. The inside unit on my desk lasts around 5 - 6 months and lets me know if needs a battery by showing the outside temperature as ' -- '

Although the manual says 'rechargeable batteries are not recommended', I would try 4 Sanyo Eneloop batteries. Or you could contact Acurite Support and ask them if your battery use is excessive?

Software for National Geographic 265NC

I tried the software that came with the National Geographic weather station 265NC but found it not what I wanted for history data. I downloaded Cumulus software from Sandaysoft.com I have used it since 2009 and have had no problems. When setting up the station on the software use Fine Offset as a menu selector for type of station as that worked for me.

The sensor from my weather station is not registering outside temperature

I've had the same problem since I bought this unit 2+ years ago; when the outside temperature moves into the freezing zone, the sensor stops transmitting. I contacted Lacrosse-- all they could suggest was change the batteries. My solution: throw it in the trash!
