Ice maker quit working after we emptied the "space saver ice storage caddy" for a camping trip. The power did not go off; nothing froze around the opening. The water in the door works and the ice dispenser in the door sounds like it is working but nothing's coming out because there's no ice in the caddy. Everything else seems fine. Help!
Is there ice in the ice tray? If so the heater is not working to allow the scooper to push the ice out into the tray. If no ice in tray then the fill solenoid is not opening to allow water into the tray. Replace the solenoid.

I would check hte wire harness leadngto the door under hte freezer hinge. itll be wrapped in a black web like covering. Just under hte unit itself follow ht ewire and unplug hte harness. then carfully cut hte black webbing and inspect wires. there tends ot be apinch point there and the wires will sheer from one another, . if so there is no replcing hte harness, the door would have to be replaced at a cost of nealry $600. not enough room for a wire nut, but hav had sucess using stright inline bullet style connector, or others have sucessfully soldered connections back in place

The most reasonable things could be that the gas ran out; the buttons and thermostat don't work; power issues; or you might have a leakage on the gas pipe.
Try calling a fridge/air condition technician to verify this.
