I have an Insignia model NS-LCD37 TV (13 mos old) that loses power intermittently. Both picture and sound cut off and then come back on after a minute. The set is connected to a cable box, but our other television is not having an issue so I've ruled out satellite problems.
I heard that there are power issues with Insignias that can sometimes be repaired by installing new capacitors?
There might be faulty capacitors that are causing the intermittent power up/down. Check the 2200uF(2 per board) capacitors for bulging conditions or you can replace the entire assembly.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Probably it is a faulty power board.
If it loses power intermittently, and completely (it turns off) then It is probably a faulty power board, if it stays on and loses audio and sound, then it means that some other board is faulty, probably a chip on the main board.
Also a bad connector cable can cause the problem.
The TV must be taken apart and inspected by a technician.
