this is almost definitely a problem with your graphics chip on its way out.
you need to take it to a repair shop for repair. ask how much it'll be because you might be better off throwing it away and buying a new one.

First you have to click the start and search for Asus virtual camera. right click asus virtual camera. go to properties. click the compatibility tab. and click the box that says run in 256 colors.

If this is a pre-manufactured manufactured computer then you will not be able to because the processor will be soldered in. On some custom gaming PCs and laptops you can take the processor out simply by popping it out. the manufactured computers solder there's in because it is better for manufacturing purposes but custom gaming computers have plug and play processors to make upgrading easier.

Your original install disk should be able to reset your unit back to factory settings

visit asus support site and find your product's driver information

Try plugging it and power it up. If it turns on, the problem is the battery.

You could have a faulty motherboard or RAM.
First remove the main battery and boot up the laptop without the main battery connected, if it boots up insert the battery, no need to power down. If that doesn't work, switch off/disconnect the adapter and insert the battery, then reseat the RAM modules and boot up.

If nothing works then you have a piece of junk. You can salvage the hard disk and put it into an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive.

Download new drivers and install them again

vista is the os with my laptop, but I nneed to be in WinXP
i have install winxp in mine today, go to your bios, ide configuration, advanced, sata operation mode: COMPATIBLE. and you'll be ok , if your winXP has sata driver on the cd....let me know if you'have prob.
