I will list here for you the best codes for addressing a DISH remote to a Sceptre TV. I will also list the instructions for addressing your remote to your TV. I hope you find this information useful and if you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to ask.

Remote codes for Sceptre - 500 and 677.

Instructions for addressing the remote to the TV
1. Press and hold down the TV button until all the mode button light up red.
2. Enter the 3 digit code for your TV in the remote keypad.
3. Press the pound(#) button once.
4. Test the functionality of your TV.

I have the 40.0 UHF 2g remote and I tried 500 and 677 codes neither work. When I went on dish website and I entered to type of remote that I have, the sceptra tv option disappeard from the options. If I select basic remote the sceptra option pops up again. Any ideas?

For universal remote codes, this TV follows Sony codes. Please check for Sony codes to setup with this TV. Sony dish TV remote codes can be accessed by visiting this site 'Electro-help'.
Type in this site name to yahoo search box. The site will appear as it is in list. Codes and setting proceedings are given in detail. Pull up older posts there.

Not likely the Dish remote will have that remote code at all in it--some of those sets were made by Samsung so try those codes also.

Hello!!! I hope that you have already gotten this resolved, but if not, here are some simple steps to run through. Just follow the link below, and follow the steps for the power scan, and your remote will scan your tv for the code that works. Hope this helps!

Cant find code for dish net remote to control emerson 32lc320emx

Some TVs will not provide all the features of the TV or won't work with out DISH remotes. I have supplied all the available codes for the Emerson TVs. I hope this helps.

Cannot find code for dish network remote to control emerson 32 in
Phillip with DISH Network here. We would be happy to help with that.

Step 1:
Press and hold the TV Mode button until all mode button back lights come on, then release.

Step 2:
Use the number buttons to enter the device code corresponding to the equipment. In your case we are going to use the Emerson codes: 764, 632, 648, 670, 699, 194, 537, 537. Then press the pound (#) button.

You should be able to control the volume and turn the TV on and off, if not try another code. Although we try to facilitate you in controlling both devices with one remote we cannot guarantee that we have codes for all the different brands and models of TV's.

I need the code for my old satelite remote to work the t.v.
The Sceptre 40* I have uses Sony codes.
There are 500, 514, 521, 578, 609, 619, 622, 629, 690

I have an old remote and an old converter box, not HD, and the 500 code only turned it on and off, but the 619 code enabled volume control, mute, changing over-the-air channels, maybe more, but the menu button did not bring up the TV (as was true with the previous TV) . Good enough, but not 100%.

Control Remote Codes

Code 246 is the correct code for my Maxent plasma for my dish network remote. Remote is 5.3IR and it was made by EchoStar Technologies Corp. Part #142301. If yours is the same, good luck.

Scepter X37sv-Naga LCD
The Sceptre TV do use the Sony codes. However, the cheap universal remotes do not have the buttons needed. The Volume Up/down and channel up/down are controlled with the circle of buttons (arrows) in the middle of the remote.
You can get an OEM remote from Sceptre. They still have them available. Sceptre is in California.
