Cartridge recommendations hello, I just bought a bjc-80 from ebay. Could anyone recommend the best ink cartrides to use. Thankis so much :)

If you do a google search for that unit or look for it in ebay you just might come across the battery info you need. Also try getting a manual for it.

black inkjet print cartridge - HP 94
tri-color inkjet print cartridge - HP 95

You can check ebay.com to buy the printer cartridge, once it is ordered, it will be delivered within a short time.

Take care.

Just replace with new PRINT HEAD. There is no alternate way to solve this problem.

Power off the printer.
Unplug it, then plug it back in.
Wait until it stops its initialization sequence.
Press and hold the power button.
Allow the printer to beep 7 times, then release the power button.
This will reset the EEProm to factory default, and should clear your problem.

To repair follow the steps below
1: Unplug Power Cord
2: Hold POWER and RESUME buttons
3: Plug in Power Cord
4: Release buttons after the printers starts up
5: Hold CARTRIDGE and RESUME
6: Press POWER
7: Release all buttons after the beeps
8: Press CARTRIDGE 16 times
9: Press RESUME
10: Unplug the Power cord

Look on eBay for printhead or cartridge cleaning solution. The cartridge is clogged with dried ink. Take an empty ink tank, and drip cleaning solution onto the sponge, filling the cartridge part way. Install the cleaning cartridge in the printer, and leave it over night. Run cleaning cycle the next day, and print with the same cartridge. It should start printing. Install new ink cartridge.
With the BJCs, if the cartridge is defective electrically, the printer will have an error and usually 3 beeps, it will not try to print.

try replacing the cartridge with the new one

Depending on how many times you have refilled the wells of the cartride the sensor inside may be going bad as the manufature of the cartridge only intended it for a one time use. My recommendation would be to buy a off brand compatible and refill those.

I had this problem too. It turned out there was old dry ink in there clogging up the printerhead and it was fixed after I ran the cleaning programme several times. However I can't for the lifeof me remember how to do that now. I know I found it online but it has since vanished. Maybe check your manual?
