"LG Tromm WM2277HW will not

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Tromm wm2277hw won't spin. getting LE code letters

The LE code is because there is a problem with the water intake . Verify that your taps are open all the way, that there is no kink in the hoses. If that doesn't solve the problem disconnect the hoses and verify there is no debris in the little filter where the hoses connect in. If none of that solve it , it might be a pressure problem in the house.

Our LG Tromm Washer is struggling to spin. Humming sound in the beginning and then displays LE on the panel. Heard it may be the Stator Sensor/Part. Any Advise please!!!

Definitely the Stator/Sensor/Hall switch. Go to http://www.mcminone.com and order part number 6501KW2002A (if your machine is model number WM2277HW). Remove rear panel, remove three retaining screws for sensor wires at left bottom of drum, remove drum outer retainer bolt in center, stator assembly is now exposed. Remove bolts holding stator assembly (I think there were six) and replace switch assembly by lightly prying tab locks off of stator. Press on new switch and reassemble...

LG Tromm WM2277HW during high speed spin makes noise

I had exactly the same symptom...grinding noise only during high speed spin cycle.

I took the top and back panels off to see how the drain hoses etc. connected. Not wanting to take it apart further, I eventually just took the washing machine outside (I knew I was going to be dealing with water!), pulled the debris catcher front side bottom, and let rip with a garden hose inside the drum with the catcher out (leaving an open drain that could flow unimpeded).

Water flowed quickly out of the open drain, and lo and behold, a small drill bit came out with the water flow. This bit, presumably had gotten through the drum grating, and was resting on the bottom of the housing, scraping and grinding when the drum was spinning.

Here is a link so that you can access the service manual http://136.166.4.200/contents/Laundry/WM2277/WM2277xx_Service_Manual.pdf
note page 18 regarding the error display LE.. This manual should allow you to better understand how to diagnose that problem.
Hope this helps you.,.
