I have a short video which kind of shows the problem at http://tinyurl.ms/f06 TV was working fine til we heard the pop. All inputs snowy. Picture slow to resolve. Is it a Y sustain? Known issue? Warranteed? thanks!

The TV should be under warranty. Send back. Sounds like the panel is faulty (half the value of the set).

Hi , I recently had the same problem which I was determined to fix . So I did a few weeks of research to find that it was the Y SUS board which burns out. I'm sure you realized that the TV gets hot. Personally I think this is why. circuit boards don't like heat and I've learned that the cooling fans are a joke. I replaced the board and got my picture back. I proved the fan theory because after the screen started to act up. I placed a cooling fan near the vent holes on top and the problem cleared right up,It also helps if you lower the brightness which helps out on the heat situation.I will soon be adding a fan with a temp. sensor. This shoud help if your screen has lines when you initially turn the cool TV on.then I have Some other costless solutions. Hope this helped these are great TV's and like our cars we maintain them not throw them away..................................Mr Wiseman

Z-Sustain PCB will cure it.
It is inside the TV, on the Right Hand Side.
www.chsinteractive.co.uk or Google for a replacement.
