I have a Magnavox Video Cassette Recorder, I cannot get it to operate with Comcast Digital Cable. The recorder is MWR20v6

    This protends only to trying to timer programs. Setting up a timer program for VCR and getting only wavy lines.

I have a magnavox mwr 10 d6 and digital cable I used two sets of rca connectors one from output from the recorder to the input tv, this lets me play dvds. the second set of rca cables are from the tv output to the input of the recorder.this allows me to record the tv show. this will work for you be sure of the correct connections. hope this helps you with your problem.

sure it can, just a bit of soldering. unplug and open up the unit. the outside of the coaxial housing is the ground side, and there should be a very small pin that will insert to circuit board. you just need to reconnect them. Ive used hot glue in a pinch before.

Dubbing vcr to dvd-

its the copy protection system doing this. if you have another dvd player or vcr, you can hook that up to a time base corrector box and run the output out of that to the dvd recorder, allows recording from any source.

My vcr won't play back

I have a Magnavox zv457mg9 DVD&VCR combo ,and the vcr records for a short period(10minutes) and then cuts off. This happens each time I try to record on the VCR. Any suggestions??
