I have a 7 yrs old beverage air mt27. The issue was "too cold" even I turned the temperature control knob down to almost off position. It froze all water and pops in it. Anybody have a similar problem or any idea. I thought of buying a temperaure control assembly (502-302B). I'll wait for some input then will give it a try. Thank you,

That temperature control assembly will most likely be the problem.

SOURCE: Will not cool. Fan runs, have cleaned coil.

The compressor may not be starting. Put your forehead against the nmachine when youturn it on or plug it in, You will feel the vibration of the pump. If it is not coming on, you may need a technician to what determine why it is not working.

SOURCE: What does the overload relay look like a

Normally thermal overloads have a button like appearance on the compressor. Designed to open circuit when temp has caused distortion to the bi-metal contacts. Upon cooling will close again. Disconnect power before checking continunity on the overload terminals.

SOURCE: Beverage-Air Kegerator Not Staying Cold

The internal temp will get down to 40 degrees but the fans won't shut off. We had to move it and when it defrosted, a lot of ice fell off the coils.

Can i use a beverage air mt27 as a freezer

Nope, You Can not. Compressors for freezers are different and if it set up as an fridge, you will not have enough defrost (on freezers there are heaters)

What will make a beverage air mt27 not cool

Multiple reasons. Is it turned on & set. Is the fan inside & out turning fast. Is there frost on a line at the compressor Is the compressor outside cabinet s/b hot & vibrating continually. Is the condenser (attached to compressor with radiator) warm/hot & not plugged with lint etc between the fins. ?????

Water is leaking from my Beverage-Air MT27 ?? Had moved it from one location to another. Delivery man laid it down and told me not to plug in for 24 hours. Was fine for 2 days now it is leaking water.

The condensate is supposed to drain from the evaporator down to a pan underneath by the compressor. Is is possible that the tube is not aligned with the pan any more. It is simple to check, remove the compressor compartment cover and inspect the pan and the tube. If the tube is out of place, just reposition it. This is likely the problem you are having. Also make sure the pan is correctly positioned.

Beverage Air

1. check for dirty condenser sometimes if its dirty enough, it'll trip the compressor.
2. if condenser is dirty, well pull out the old garden hose and hose down the condenser (turn off unit first!)(i don't want any accidents... je je je)

if you did step 2 and nothing yet, suspect faulty relay/ overload/ start capacitor failure (relay and start capacitors fail more often then the overload.

hope to he of some help today.
