Amana side by side - 7 years old.
Compressor seems to be fine (although it is a bit hot) and the relay is ok.
The bottom of the freezer is blowing cold but it doesn't seem to be reaching the top of the freezer (where the ice maker is). The bottom crisper on the fridge side is also cold but not up to the top shelves. So - only the bottom of both are getting cold but nothing on the upper levels.
Not able to produce ice either. Thanks for any help!

Thre is a fan inside the freezer which circulates the cold air around both the fridge and the freezer compartments.
You should be able to feel cold air blowing around the inside, particularly at the top of the freezer.
If the defrost thermostat fails open, the internal fan (depending on freezer) will stop and this can be the cause of the freezer being warm at the top and no ice.
You say the bottom of the freezer is blowing cold, but are you sure its blowing, as it can feel like a cold blow. Of course the fan could have failed or may be the defrost heater itself.

Hi,
Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of
a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go
wrong.
If
you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two
tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check
