You having fuel are you saying your getting fuel to carburetor. Doesn't mean it's getting to engine through carb. Try a little starting fluid in carburetor if it starts then there is a blockage in carburetor from ethanol.
Is the primer working ? have you tried the self primer if fitted ? when you turn over the engine is the bubbles in the fuel viewer or does it just drop. or something else.
SOURCE: My John Deere X320 has gas fires up, but will not
It sound like a service problem. Change fuel filter. If when you pull the line there is gas there but it goes back to the tank.ITS a vent problem. IF no change then the fuel pump could be bad or a possible pickup problem
SOURCE: John deere x320 will not syart. if one coil ground
The wiring harness under the engine shroud that feeds both coils has a diode on each of the wires that connects coils. The diodes keep each coil from grounding each other out so when one diode goes bad it will only run on the cylinder with the strongest coil.Order new harness from Deere, cost less than $30.

could be bad gas, but it sounds like a choke problem. did it sit over the winter with less than a half tank of gas in it. try putting some rubbing alcohol in the fuel or draining the tank and disconnecting the gas line so you can drain the gas out of the carb. also check the gap of the spark plug and make sure that is correct. when was the last time there was fresh oil put in. also check the air filter, it could be full of dirt.
Testimonial: "Thanks for the ideas. I will try your suggestions. Tractor used for snow blowing during the winter and gas did not stay in it long. Good ideas!"

The ignition switch module is likely to be the problem, they seem to quit for no good reason. The safety relays and fuses are built into the board that comes with the switch and will most likely fix your problem.
