You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.
It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see http://oddsnsods.net/blog/?p=68 who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).
I am experiencing the same problem as the original OP. I do have the instruction leaflet and even following the instructions am still getting phantom rings. I eventually removed the battery from the bellpush, removed the chimer from the mains (it's not battery operated) and waited the required 2 minutes. I then reinserted the chimer into the mains, reconnected the bellpush battery and pressed the bellpush, as per the instructions. Still got phantom rings. Then tried removing the battery from the bellpush. Still getting phantom rings. I am now going to remove the whole damned thing and buy another make because Siemens does not work!
I managed to identify the problem of phantom chimes on my mains operated JSJS 204.
The problem arose whenever I undid the bell push cover and unscrewed the platform to clean it and change the battery. When i came to screw the platform back down, I lay it flat n the table with the bell push underneath. The act of screwing the platform back resulted in oushing the bell push diaphram up out of its seating and thusn causing it to be too near the point of contact with the internal switch. I eventuall recognised what was happening and tilted the base of the bell push whilst screwing the platform back into place. This meant that the diaphram eained in its intended position. Problem solved!

There are not always dip switches to change the wireless frequency on the Siemens range of doorbell, so to change the current frequency you have to remove the batteries from both the chime unit and the push button and wait for at least 10 seconds. Then replace the batteries in both units and press the doorbell button (Within 2 mins of battery re-insertion)
I have the same sort of problem and it is caused by my wireless burglar alarm. When I unset the alarm the door bell sound 5 tripe rings and then stops. It also rings randomly when passing a PIR in the house when the alarm is not set. Strangely it does not do this when the alarm is part set (doors only for example) I've tires changing the frequency by unplugging the mains units and removing the batteries from the portable unit and the bell push, but it makes no difference. I will now try changing the settings on the alarm itself. Your problem COULD be caused by a nearby wireless alarm or other similar device, so maybe worth asking around your neighbours?
SOURCE: siemens door chime rings when no one pushes door bell
try moving the ringer closer to the button or set it to a new frequency if possible or return it and get a new style or brand .. j
SOURCE: my doorbell also ring neighbor's bell
Change pin configuration on plugin bell and the remote.
The pin configuration should match
SOURCE: I have two door chimes with the same frequemcy,
You need to change the pin configuration in both the remote buttons to match each other, (as well as the bell unit) just make sure they match on both bell units. Also, since one works just use that configuration and change the button pin configuration that does not work to the button that does on the other button unit.

Sandra, the contacts in bell push may need cleaning, as well as some minor readjustment of the contacts. Insects love to get into the bell push and can clogged it up. If you find that this doesn't solve the problem, Contact the Zenith Company 800-858-8501 to purchase a replacement.
