Bosch WFL2450 Washing Machine wont spin cycle

Had this machine about 5 years and no problems.

Stopped in mid cycle, machine fills but does not rotate drum. Checked drain and there was small coin in catchment, which was removed and no other obstructions. Impeller rotates and checked that the machine is draining ok. Run just on a spin cycle and programme completes without the drum rotating at all although you can here noise from the machine

Any ideas what to check next?

Hi there, this problem sounds as though the carbon brushes are needing replaced or infact just needing to be cleaned of dust or dirt. Its very common for the brushes to be covered in dust and fibres. Im not sure where the brushes will be on this model but I hope this helps you in someway.

How to fix Bosch Classixx 6 washing machine pump fault
My Bosch Classixx 6 Express 1200 washing machine suddenly developed three faults at the same time, with no fault codes. The water pump, fill and spin cycles all stopped at the same time. I found that the one of the pump wires had come loose from the connector plug. This will not only stop the drum from emptying but will prevent the machine from filling and also stops the spin cycle. These are all interconnected and controlled by the water pump, which has to be working and connected. Hope this helps. My 11 year old machine is now working perfectly. ,

Hotpoint wma22 fills with water but won't wash or spin
Suspect motor brushes need replacing.
Simple task accessed by removing the top of the washer and releasing the clips holding the brushes into the motor - clip on back of brush - to remove the brush assembly.
Replace complete brush assembly.
