Common issue with all of these carafe's. Once the jar starts to leak the bearings are shot and it is time to replace the jar. The bearings are non-replacable. Bad design in my opinion. I was able to get my last jar (I have been through 3 before the 5 year warranty went out) to last by hand washing and not putting it in the dishwasher, but after 4 years of use on this jar it failed too.
The ball bearings have all fallen out of the blade mechanism and it leaks like a sive!!! Customer service says no more units left to sell,even though they took my back order 08/08 for 2 complete new units. Apparently they have stopped making them, even though I was told a new improved line was due out by 11/08. If there is anyway i can purchase a new container or even a compete unit please inform me. I have written the company asking for any assistance and willing to pay for a new container but no reply so far. Other than that I thought the unit did a great job making blednded salads and soups, and am now looking for a more reliable type blender to do the same without paying thru the nose for it (ie;$3-$400+).
It was difficult to contact service personnel. They continously told us they were going to send a new item and they never did.
I ORDERED A HEALTHMASTER 100 ON APRIL 24, 2008. LAST WEEK, I PUT IN SALAD INGREDIENTS, AND SPARKS BEGAN TO FLY. IT TURNS OUT THE BLADE CAME LOOSE, LEAKED UNDER THE BLENDER AND SPILLER OVER INTO THE MOTOR. I CALLED THE COMPANY THREE TIMES, AND THEY FINALLY TOLD ME THE BLENDER IS NOT IN STOCK AND TO CALL BACK IN 4-5 WEEKS, AND SINCE I DID NOT BUY THE WARRANTY IT CANNOT BE REPLACED, AND IT GETS BETTER...JACK, HIS WIFE, AND THEIR HUCKSTER ARE STILL ON EVERY CHANNEL STILL SELLING THIS.
