If your machine displays a general alarm message or a warning light indicated by a red exclamation mark please carry out the following steps:
Switch the machine off using the power button on the front of your machine, and wait for the shut down process to complete fully before the next step.
Plug the unit off.
Open the service door.
Remove the drip tray and grounds container.
Remove the brewing unit (infuser) by squeezing the two red <a href="http://despreserialero.com/juramantul-episodul-505-506-subtitrat-in-romana/">despre seriale</a>
buttons either side of the 'Push' button.
Pull gently. If the infuser will not freely come out do not force it.
Clean the infuser using warm water once removed.
With the infuser still out of the machine, clean the inside thoroughly using a vacuum to ensure all grinds are removed. Pay particular attention to the area behind the grounds container.
I had the same problem with the infuser stuck at the top and the triangle light staying lit. I fixed it by unplugging it from the wall. I then removed the side panel and the back panel.
Facing the rear move the sprocket that the motor drives. The best way to start it (if it is stuck) is with a flat screen driver on the right side of the motor and push the sprocket towards the front. Once it starts you can either pull the belt from the other side or push it from the right side. It took 10 minutes to get the infuser to completely come down.
After that I pulled it out and cleaned everything. When I put everything back together the light stayed on and the machine would not respond. I did fix it by turning on the machine, pulled the power plug, and when I plugged it back in the system went through its cycle. Everything is fine now.
Put back together, turn on the machine, then turn of the machine with the power button on the machine, then turn of the power point, should be back in place to push in both red buttons, enjoy your working machine and coffee, cant find an answer for my issue
There is a blockage in the steam/ hot water circuit. By trying repeatedly to use these functions the steam boiler has now overheated and blown a thermal fuse ( thats why the alarm is displayed and now the infuser is in the wrong position for removal). If this machine is under warranty you should return it as soon as possible. If no warranty and you are a handy person (genuinely) then post again and i can help you fix it. No Good luck Rick.
Turning off the power with the button is not enough. Instead, to remove the infuser: unplug the machine, wait a few seconds, plug it in again and turn the machine on. Even though you are technically turning it on, the machine will sense it was not turned off in an ok way, so it will "properly" shut off (and unlock the infuser).
Did you try tightening the 2 hex screws behind the infuser?
Be gentle though. Mine felt tightend but thenIput just a bit more pessue on them and got an eigth to a quarter more turn out of them. Found this solution on this site
I have a perfecta and found that the mechanism that translates the infused up and down was jammed. I unplugged it and removed the back panel - two phillips screws - then you will see the motor and cog belt -BE SURE UNPLUGGED - I then turned the motor shaft using my index finger against the cog belt and with the access door open I could see the infuser translate down to a park position. I took it through an entire cycle which actually retracted the infuser and actuated the coffee grind sweep arm - there is a horizontal feature that looks like a sideways 'L' that seems to be a reference for the park location - since when the top of the infuser was at this mark the infuser unit could be removed and the infuser was in the compact configuration as described in the user manual.
I am getting a general alarm still and would like to know if anyone could point me to an electrical schematic and functional sequence block diagram.
