The washer goes through the wash cycle but when it comes to rinse and spin it seems to stop with soapy water in it and gives us an error code. I have tried for hours to shut down and restart. Sometimes it works but only after many tries.
I think your "OE" is really a "DE" or drain error. Open the access door on the lower left of the front panel on the machine, drain the remaining water with the small drain hose there, and unscrew and remove the larger thing, which is a filter. Clean filter. If filter was not blocked, check for loose impeller on drain pump motor, which requires replacement of drain pump motor. (just sticking it back on will result in it coming off again)
If this helps, a "fixya" rating would be appreciated. Thanks.
I didn't have my manual, did a search and came across this suggestion. I tried it and so far so good! It's gong through a rinse and spin cycle but it hasn't stopped yet! You saved us a lot of money for a repairman to come and time in waiting to get it fixed. The filter was absolutely clogged with debris. Thank you!

I removed the filter (Bottom left) and like others found some sludge in the filter but not enough to stop water getting through. Inside the filter housing on the right hand side is a tube which goes in for about 2 inches where I guess it joints the rubber drain hose and the pump outlet pipe. I found 2 coins inside this tube a 5p and 1p. I got them out with my little finger and hey presto, all sorted.
Thanks to previous posts for pointing me in the right direction.
Hope this helps.

I actually had a repairman (warrenty) coming out on OCT 31 to fix this same issue with the OE or DE code. I opened the screw door and to my surprise the pump filter was completly blocked. The smell was horrible. I cleaned it and drained the little black hose to the left of it also. This inspired me to clean out the soap and softner dispenser also which led me to the rubber donut on the inside of the door. I completly removed the rubber dam and once again to my surpise has holes in it to allow water to pass through. Half of them had slime build up and were also blocked. It takes patience to install it back. I then ran bleach through my system on the sanitize setting with no spin and my LG Tromm works like a champ now. They make a product called "Washer Magic" that sears sells to clean the calcium and lime build up that you run through the washing machice once a month that I saw on another blogg. Thanks for the "FixYa" website for the info. It saved me an embarrassment if the repair man did come and tell me I need to pay attention to the pump filter on a regular basis.
this is ok helps if you have idea about mechanical knowledge,so you can order parts and replaced yurself
i replaced inlet valve cold water side for only $47.00
now i have OE errors code
i removed all hoses and cleaned blocked drain tube???
let see what i done.but lot of work
i had exactly the same problem, undid the filter cap and a bucket full of sludge came out all over the kichen
The filter was pluged but the little hose would not drain. Nothing would come out. Iam not sure why. Iam running a load to see if it was the filter.
Test mode - spin cycle doesn't work. And, error code when started normally is OE. What could it be?
