Hi David,
First I think I would check your exhaust screen in muffler to see if it is plugged, this would cause the engine not to rev max rpms which would in turn not blow full capicity out the tube, If this is o.k. then I would try running the choke partialy on and see if it improves the sitiuation, if so then replace your fuel filter and clean your carb out (take apart and check for gum, varnish, dirt .If you are careful you can clean this and put back together, but sometimes there is no choice but to put carb kit in...remember to clean fuel inlet screen and change needle valve, cause it has a neopreme tip snd this gets soft and gooey from ethanal in the gas now days.. you'll have it going in no time !
Great Points! That ethanol is wreaking havoc on small engine stuff, esp. rubber and plastic parts (including fuel diaphragms and fuel lines). They say a needle valve in fairly good shape will be silverish, gray in color (and that it is coated with anti-seize compound). I call it graphite. Once that wears off, I suppose the valve is prone to sticking in the seat and it is an orange color. Great advice. Keep up the good work and always....BE SAFE!

Is the engine getting up to full RPM's? If not, it could be a few different things. In other words, it it running OK, but just not blowing hard, or NOT running right?
